Fox Shield cancel shine

Welcome new person! Fox's Shine comes out extremely quick at Frame 2. That's even faster than his quickest aerial, Nair. It looks to me that you aren't actually cancelling your jump, but just shining immedialey after your jump squat. Technically this is the quickest OOS aerial option, but might not be better than Nair even though it comes out 1 frame quicker. But it is an option and options are good. Nair probably has more range and knockback. Go ahead and test which is better and let us know.

Shine is Frame 3, which is 1 frame earlier than N-air. It's knockback is lower though so you can maybe use it near the ledge to push em offstage.

Also the title on that video is very misleading. I want to give benefit of doubt here that it was done as coincidence, but that is the same terms that Melee players use when Fox applies pressure with shine -> jump -> wavedash -> shine -> ...

He can't do that in this game.

Ah you are correct it is frame 3. Could have sworn I read it was 2 somewhere.
