Flux's "How to do obscure things w/ Fox" series!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Quick List of All Episodes-
Ep1 - Waveshine OoS (THE FLUX SLIDE)

Ep2 - Getting the Edge

Ep3 - From the Edge

Ep4 - How to Practice Teching//Consistency

Ep5 - Side+B Canceling

Intro-
This is a video guide/help series that I'm creating regarding a lot of things with Fox, I don't really know what the point is other than because I'm bored.. But it helps myself and others improve I think, and I enjoy making vids :)

Each episode of the series will consist of a short example video to give everyone the ideas they need, along with some descriptions on how.

I will also take any questions that involve the technicalities and more in depth things regarding each video.

Some of this stuff may be considered overly "fancy" or useless, but I will try to make everything I do have a point to it even if there are easier ways to accomplish the same thing.

With that said, I will introduce my new video series!

I hope all of you technical Fox players can see my ideas and put them to the best of use!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
All episodes-
Episode 1: Shine out of shield - WAVESHINE (AKA THE FLUX SLIDE!)

Description:
This episode is based all around the options of shining out of your shield. Sure, we have seen the pros do shine out of shield, and shine nair out of shield, but why nothing more..? Why not instantly become in your opponents face and combo them as a punish for attacking you? Why not show that Falcon player that if he pressures your shield he is going to get waveshined across the stage?

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Episode 2: Getting the Edge
Description:
This episode is solely based around getting onto the edge in the most effective advanced ways possible. Includes illusion edgehog, shine turnaround firefox stall, shl edgecancel edgehog, and turnaround waveshine edgehog.
EPISODE 2:
High Quality Filefront: http://files.filefront.com/ep 2 getting the edgewmv/;12914260;/fileinfo.html
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Episode 3: From the Edge

Description:
In episode three you will learn a couple of crazy and mainly offensive ways to get back on the stage from the hanging on the edge position. These are not always the best options as I think the safest more defensive ones are more effective. But I think everyone will be able to learn something from what I show you in this episode. So enjoy!

Episode 4: For Noobs! How to Practice Teching and Consistency

Description:
New Approach to my Vids... Please let me know how I can improve overall as a speaker and how I can make these better for you guys in general.

EPISODE 4:

Episode 5: Illusion Canceling

Description:
Mic didn't work too well, shows some very good examples of illusion cancelling

---
Ideas for future episodes:
~edge-guard tricks on characters that most players find hard to guard i.e.: samus, Marth, Pikachu etc.

~waveshine turnarounds on actual opponents, and the things you can do out of them. Obscure techniques ftw.

[x] the different ways Fox can get onto the stage after he grabs the edge. So like ep. 2 would be called the edge: part 1. ep. 3 would be part 2.

~cactuars super waveland thing

~shield drop techniques/uses... along with being pushed off the edge of a plat in ur shield and uses for that!

[x] how to practice teching the edge/how to practice consistency//shield pressure

...that's really unfair, I saw the SuperDoodleMan clip of Fox waveshining Fox and thought you were going to teach us how to do that.

Flux you should cover edge-cancels on various stages using illusion, ledge-wavedashing with and without shine, shine turnaround wavelands on platforms.

Also, that AR combo was LOL.

Thanks for the idea's raynEX

I'll do that in a future episode, but might have to talk to you about it for a while first! =)

ANYWAYS.... Episode 2 is up on youtube!

youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8o0Zn3Ygh4
filefront: http://files.filefront.com/ep+2+getting+the+edgewmv/;12914260;/fileinfo.html

Pretty common stuff for good fox players, but I know it will be useful for a lot of people.

I'll also put all episodes up for download on filefront seeing as how youtube sux, it will be much better quality for you to view each and every frame :D

More ideas:

-edge-guard tricks on characters that most players find hard to guard i.e.: samus, Marth, Pikachu etc.

-waveshine turnarounds on actual opponents, and the things you can do out of them. Obscure techniques ftw.

-the different ways Fox can get onto the stage after he grabs the edge. So like ep. 2 would be called the edge: part 1. ep. 3 would be part 2.

I can record some obscure Fox stuff too if you want. Too much free time on my hands.

I only did a few elvenarrow, not gonna do all of them :p

And yeah RaynEX you are welcome to work on this with me. If you want to record any footage of stuff just upload it to filefront and PM it to me and tell me what episode type it's for, you will get full credit obviously.

Again thanks for the awesome ideas!

edit: both episodes are on filefront now and up on the first post.

yes to all of this

shine turnaround wavelands are amazing. very quick way to position yourself and trip up your opponent
edge canceling side+b is a very safe way to recover as you can bair immediately...its ****

off topic:
edge cancel combos at low percents are EXTREMELY safe. especially against a shiek who could have fair'd after a poorly spaced bair on a platform, you can combo edge cancel bair into another bair. ****
