I'm thinking of another house tourney sometime after X-mas but before the New Year. I'll post more info as I decide what I'm going to do.

Other than that, I'm up for smash with anyone in the Palm Harbor/Pinellas area nearly any day of the week over X-mas break.

well on December 17th, there's a Tourney at Cutting Edge Gaming so if you came down a day sooner, you'd be able to go to that since it's right next to your parents house. I'll most likely go there as well instead of Gigabits sice it's closer/cheaper and I'm still pinching pennys.

So how about a Florida powerranking list. i think its due time that we get one. i wanna be in the potentials area.

We had started on one before. It was going to be two seperate lists since it's hard to combine CFL and SFL since they tend to not go to each others tourneys as much. I drew together the CFL using tourney results which had full brackets/results available. Unfortunately most only had like a "top 5" type post so there were only a handfull of tourneys to consider (5) and we decided to wait till the next gigabits results. However the last gigabits came & passed and we never got any brackets.

So hopefully we'll get one after this weekend's tourney (and maybe the previous one) and we'll be able to create a more acurate list. As for SFL, I don't know what the progress is for them or whether we're going to eventually try to combine for a master list of Florida.

well NFL would be in with CFL, but you guys definately need to make some more FL tourneys to get in on it.

I'm debating between going to this or going to Gigabits instead. In the one hand, this tourney is alot closer/cheaper and I won't have to drive out to Orlando. On the other, Gigabits has alot more players and actually have cash prizes.

I'm leaning more towards cutting edge though since I'm pretty low on dough.

You may be able to see my new style of Linkin'. I call it HS Style, and it has nothing to do with combo grabing. I am still refining it, but I believe I am one of the few to use the hookshot offensively. It has some bugs that I am working on, but I believe I have a winner. The funny thing is that I still need to work on wavedashing, edge hopping, and L-canceling XD!

Nice way to fake out the Orlando trip Mankosuki. I was glad to see some Smash Boarders at the Cutting Edge Tourney. I am sorry I ruined the Loser's Bracket by leaving, but unfortunately I had to babysit my brother. I did try to have my dad drop him off, but he wouldn't. Oh, and NICE match Manko; I was supprised I held my own, seeing as I'm a Link player. Maybe we can put together a Smash fest? That is IFnobody is busy the week between Christmas and New Years.

Yeah, I didn't want to use my Samus vs. Link cause I remember it being a tough match up back when I played LTL alot. I used Samus in the final match vs. King of Hearts though and the match up wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. That was the only time I used Samus the whole tourney, so you'll have to see what it's like next time I guess.

Congrats to winning. More is good, but we need to do more exhibition smashing (at least I do). This was my first tournament, and it was very interesting to watch. That Rest combo you pulled owned my face in the first two seconds. One of my friends wasn't paying attention and only heard the sound. That definitely took me off guard.

Well I believe that cutting edge has tuesdays as free days for members. So if we were to get together, that's the best time. For me and the Tampa guys anyways, since we're about 40 minutes from the place and I wouldn't want to have to pay for both gas and hours.

lvl9cpu is comming home to Palm Harbor for winter break soon so he could come as well. There's also the infamous Goldwing & Lumbro of G-spot living in Plam Harbor. They might be a little hard to get up with though.

Hmm... membership. That sounds good. All we need is to actually plan some days and go. I will try to get big_freddy and M/H/B to come with me. The problem with that is M/H/B is virtually grounded for life. I was supprised he was able to come. Good thing he did though, I was considering staying home if he wasn't able to come.

I pretty much went Doc/Jiggs the whole tourney. Aside from the one match with you where I was Luigi, and one match with king of Hearts where I used Samus.

For friendlies afterward though, it was random select.

Interesting. Your Doc is really good, at least from what I was able to see. I wonder if he will return in Brawl. But seriously,... when are we going to smash?

Based on the 2nd Brawl trailer, it looks like Doc won't be returning and instead his move set will be mixed into Mario. If you look at his F-air in the vid, it sends Pika flying like Doc's does now, and spikes Kirby into the ground in the same hit.
