Intro

So if you want to connect to the Florida Smash 4 Scene, you'll want to reach us on Facebook! There are a huge amount of groups for different areas of Florida. You can find out about lots of smash tournaments in Florida right here. If you're looking for players to practice with and tournaments to go to check down below. You'll find tons of Facebook groups and information on weekly smash tournaments.

Feel free to join any of the Facebook groups, because we're always open to having new players! Try to make it out to any weeklies in your area if you can!

@Dr Peepee Can this thread please get a sticky? I see lots of people who are interested in playing Smash 4 in Florida and they always post threads here. Hopefully this thread can serve as a resource for them to use. It's a quick link to paste if someone posts a thread, and maybe they'll actually read the sticky and won't have to even bother making their own thread!

Right now UCF Brawl in Orlando is a sticky, but that thread is really old and has a superfluous OP. I think that this thread might make better use of that spot.

I'm not sure myself. I'm not sure which part of Florida those places are exactly. Try to join a facebook group that is closest to your area.

Alternatively, you can join the main Florida Smash group and ask there for players in your area.

Unfortunately The Spicy Spot has been retired but it's being replaced by a new event called Kumite which will happen next Saturday. Also their Facebook page is a great resource for Tampa smash and you don't even need to log in to use it.

Jeez, I wish there were more tournaments in the Daytona Beach. It's a hassle to go to Orlando and/or Tampa everytime, especially for a local, but I can understand the reasoning as to why they're hosted those locations exclusively.

Maybe somewhere in-between Daytona Beach and Edgewater or Port Orange or Flagler.

Hey, guys!! Louisiana is hosting a big tournament called the South Louisiana Major (SLAM 2017) on April 1st (not an April Fool's joke) and we want you guys to come out and play. We have both Melee and Smash 4 here both with a $200 and $300 Pot Bonus respectively. We also have pot bonuses for other games such as SFV and KoFXIV totaling to about $2,000 so far (there will be more to come). We have a good hotel with good space and good food in the area as well. There are also a good number of players that will offer up possible housing. Let us know if you're interested!! Hope to see y'all there!!
