With the inclusion of Roy being able to turn around his neutral-b in Ultimate, he now has an amazing ledge trapping tool. In Smash 4, Flare Blade when fully charged hits ledge, the problem is that the other player can drop from ledge or just roll behind Roy to escape the explosion. Roy can follow them off stage if he is fast enough or punish their ledge re-grab, but there isn't much he can do if they get behind him. Now that he can reverse his Flare Blade, his ledge trapping game will get a lot better. Roy can now cover almost all ledge options if he is spaced carefully. Neutral get-up, jump from ledge, and ledge attack can all be punished, if spaced well, with just hitting them. You can punish them staying on ledge with just hitting them as well. If they try to drop from ledge at the right time, you can punish them for ledge re-grabbing and get them into the same situation. And now Roy can cover his opponent rolling behind by turning around. Little Mac has the same opportunity, but his neutral-b doesn't hit ledge, and Ike could do that too, but from what we know he can't reverse his.

It doesn't matter that Ike can't reverse his Neutral B, His Neutral B now acts as a projectile erupting multiple pillars towards him, which can be an excellent Ledge Trap.
