I doubt they'll put in the effort to make Mewtwo have both X and Y or either for that fact as that would require lots more work. It will probably be psystrike.

If anything, I'd expect something like Psycho Boost. I'm sure they'd love the challenge of putting his Mega form in, but is that a smart idea with it not being in the game?

I hope its something similar to lucarios taunt/up b super cancel animation where hes like hhuurraaaa, but with hit bubbles all around him which damage/kill anyone in a certain radius.

I think it would be reasonable to believe they could take the final smash from sonic but instead of super sonic just have mewtwo's y mega evolution flying around ****ing **** up

I'd imagine them giving him Psystrike. Better than reusing Lucario's anyway, imo.

Hold A for Mewtwo X which makes your A moves stronger and B for Y which makes your special moves stronger.

Lasts a set amount of time like super sonic or giga bowser.

This appears to be a powered up version of Lucario's with more range. He laughs and then flies up to the top of the screen, where he gives out giant purple energy beam. The effect looks nice and it looks like it kills from around 0% (not that it matters, being a final smash). Pretty cool.

Yes, Mewtwo was absolutely built from Lucario.

Basically, the reason Mewtwo's final smash ended up similar to Lucario's is that nothing else we came up with was technically and graphically feasible and would also have come out with the same level of quality. (Which, I must say, I'm proud of both the graphics work that was done and how the animations came out.)

Actually, as an aside, it's funny that you mention Peach, because one of my initial ideas was to give him a final smash similar to Peach's, but instead of everyone falling asleep, they'd all get disabled. I think we can all agree that what we wound up with is better, though.

Yeah. I remember reading that they used Lucario because of their NeutralB and SideB using similar properties. They built Mewtwo's hover on their own.

I guess it IS fine, but, while I know the clone engine limitations, it's just kind of jarring having a shared final smash. I mean we already have 3 Landmasters...

But, like I said, I can still accept it. It's just wishful thinking
