Over the years, countless tournaments have been held to determine the strongest fighter in the world…
But only one will determine the strongest in the universe!

So I thought it would be fun to make a creation thread about a platform fighter crossover between big fighting game series! I’m making it a platform fighter even though most of these series aren’t originally because those are more fun to make as part of creation threads in my opinion. We will decide the characters, stages, movesets, and pretty much everything else of a platform fighter crossover between all the big, and maybe even not so big, fighting game series!

Each character would have four types of attacks: normal, command normal, specials, and command specials, as well as strong and light versions of each attack. We will only decide the specials for each characters since normals would pretty much just be the same as their original game and wouldn’t be that interesting. Strong versions wouldnt change that much. Also we will have 50 characters in the base game.

There will be no story mode but some sort of explanation will be given (we could vote on how later) regarding a universal tournament held by a mysterious figure (we could hold a vote on who it is later) with some kind of ultimate prize. Various villains want to take advantage of this.

Arizona (Them's Fightin' Herds)
1648592727483.png

Arizona is one of the main characters in the game
Them's FIghtin' Herds, a game full of ungulates trying to become the Key Keeper and save their world from the Predators. Arizona is a Calf of The Prairie, and is fighting to make her homeland proud.

Arizona would be a rushdown fighter with short range but some tools to compensate (her dash attack in game transitions to running and she has a lasso), she can stomp the ground so much to cause an earthquake, and is really strong.

Arizona should be considered because she'd be extremely unique variety from what I'd assume would mainly be a cast of humans, and I think would be a fun transition to Platform fighting.
I also want to note a reason I'm resubmitting Arizona now is because she was the first submission in the original thread and also I nominated them so it's kind of a poetic starting point for me to nominate them again. Also I just want Arizona in the game.

Yugo Ogami (Bloody Roar)
yugo-ex3.jpg

yugo-ex2.jpg

Yugo Ogami is a Zoanthrope; a human with a werebeast like transformation. Yugo the wolf is the posterboy of the Bloody Roar series of games.

He fights in a boxing style typically in his human form, but can shift into wolf form to add additional claw slashes and bites with his boxing. Transforming can also blast opponents backwards and can be done on the fly allowing for Yugo to mix up between his human and wolf form.

Batsu (Rival Schools)
Rival Schools is a well liked fighting game from the PS1 era. We could go with any of the characters, but I do think going with the protagnist might be the right move.

Sukapon (Joy Mech Fight)

Sukapon
is main character of Nintendo's obscure 1993 game "Joy Mech Fight", released on Famicom exclusively in Japan. He's a pink robot, who was made for militaristic purposes, but he was actually builded for Owarai Comedy.
Then Dr. Walnut became every evil and he tried to take over the world and Sukapon went for adventure to defeat him by fight multiple robots with fighting skills. Each of them had abilities that Sukapon coukd have them. When he was fighting with Honou on Moon, he won and Dr. Walnut became good after that.
After the Game's story, Sukapon returned to his Comedy career.

He could have really interesting moveset potential, like he could throw his head or even could do his Sukapon Roll. His Final Smash could make everyone laugh non-stop, which it makes him more powerful.
He could be Grappler that focuses on Grabbing enemies with his hands.
His Stats would show that he would be middleweight Fighter with no additional movement options.

I nominate him, because he could first Nintendo rep that could join the crossover of Fighting Game platform fighter. Besides that, he could really have unique moveset potential and he would be one of Obscure characters that could join the Roster.
We never had a Nintendo Character, so why not put Sukapon in it?

Raft (Virtua Fighter)

You play on a gigantic flat raft which moves over a river. On both ends of the raft are pools of water which act the same way as water in Smash Ultimate. If you are in the water and get swept under the big raft iyou get instantly KO’d. Occasionally the raft will go underneath a bridge which you can go on if you jump up there.

Altar

Literally just a flat stage with pits on either end of the stage

Raft (Virtua Fighter) & Altar (Killer Instinct) are our new stages.

Next Job
Given this games influence from Smash as well as the general success of the Smash series it feels fitting to have some sort of Smash content in this project.

Come up with a way to represent Smash. Only rule is we can only reference things that originated from Smash itself. Can be anything (Fighter, Stage, Easter Egg, Collectable, Game Mode, Not adding Smash content, etc.).

There are options for characters (master Hand, tabbu, sandbag, ancient minister, a primid. ) but a stage would be an easy way to do it.

Job closed, thanks for the feedback, thinking about it more it looks like it would be best to see if it happens naturally through general stage, character, etc. jobs rather than a focused smash job so we will go forward with that in mind

Next job
Submit 3 music tracks from Arc Sys fighting games. Everyones submissions will get in. Neo New York theme/Guilty Gear are already in the game but feel free to add music from other potential later additions from Arc Sys like Blaz Blue.

Arc Sys music can still be submitted but since it looks like there may not be too much interest in that job we will add another

Next job, looking at our roster we have no fighters who debuted after the 90s so our next job is to submit fighters who debuted in the year 2000 or later.

Juri
A really popular character. I think we can get away with having multiple SF characters considering the size of our roster

Ragna the Bloodedge

Another “holy **** why haven’t we added him yet” character, Ragna is the main protagonist of the Blazblue series and honestly, given how big that fighting game franchise, definitely feels inevitable for this thread. Given that we already have Sol, why not add the character of the second biggest arcsys franchise?

Filia from Skullgirls

She is one of playable characters in Skullgirls and she is a middle school student, who got parasite on her head named Samson that has rowdy and has personality. She lost her memory when Samson possessed her.
Filia is one of Iconic Skullgirls characters and she is poster girl of the series.

She has moveset potential, as it was shown in Skullgirls, like she could grab with help of Samson, turn into Ball or launch ball of hair as one of her ultimate.

She deserves a spot in game as Indie character rep without a doubt. Nuff said.

Will submit Tekken Bowling Ball as an item, works like green shell in Smash, Street Fighter Car is also in as an item.

Next Job: Submit an additional fighter from a series already in the game (Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Tekken, Soul Calibur, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Bloody Roar, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Virtua Fighter)

Job 15:
Scorpion (Mortal kombat)

1649701561400.png

Scorpion, aka Hanzo is main character of Mortal Kombat series made by Midway, but it's owned now by Warner Bros. He is a netherrealm spirit that fights with others in brutal and gory way to protect the Earthrealm from threats that exist in the his universe.
Scorpion and his game were iconic, so he deserves to be in the Game.

Scorpion would fight like in his game, where he uses his Spear and his martial arts that he practiced.
He also has some input commands in his moveset.
His Ultimate would be, where he takes of his iconic mask and breathes fire at opponents, making the look toasty!

I did a short write-up, because you guys know Mortal Kombat, so nuff said about Scorpion...

Resubmitting Iori.

So I think our thread is currently in a bit of an awkward period where we have to get all the obvious characters who need to be in this game out of the way and one of these characters is Iori. Iori is the rival of Kyo and is often considered the second most important character in KoF and as such I think it’s pretty much a necessity to add him in eventually given how iconic he and his series are.
