Lucario. Unless somehow, Mewtwo gets completely revamped and is more of what he should be.

That's a tough decision. I like both of them; Lucario is my second best in Pokemon Pearl (Next to Venusaur), but Mewtwo was such a great character to play with in Melee.
I guess I'll go with Mewtwo. Lucario is good and all, but Mewtwo is a veteran and has an already cool moveset.

Mewtwo over Lucario anyday. As much as I'd like them both, if I had to have just one it'd be Mewtwo. Mewtwo is the only Pokemon that could be considered a true villain. All the other antagonistic Pokemon in the games were just misguided or being controlled. Lucario is cool-looking and has a lot of neat move ideas, but ultimately, Mewtwo's Psychic abilities open up a lot more possibilities as far as moves go.
I mean, I think that most people would agree that Mewtwo's Up Throw was the coolest ****ing throw in Melee.

Ouch, this is a tough one. I love both Mewtwo and Lucario, they're both two of my most powerful Pokemon on my team in Diamond. Hmmm... if we're going by movepools and types, I'll have to give the nod to Lucario for sheer diversity and the ability to use dark attacks, which would totally screw Mewtwo up.
However, this is Smash... so I'm gonna go ahead and say that as it is, they'd break a tie. Lucario is faster on his feet and has more physical strength, but Mewtwo's sheer psychic power makes up for the difference.

Why is Lucario? He isn't legendary, doesn't has Mewtwo's boss status, has stared only in one movie whereas Mewtwo had 2 and ofcoarse he isn't nearly as regonisable. Mewtwo over Lucario anyday.

This is a real toss-up for me, since I support both of them equally. But if I really had to pick only one, I'd have to go with Mewtwo simply because he is the more significant and recognizable of the two. If anything, his being the "ultimate" Pokemon and unofficial "villian" makes him just slightly more valuable than the "mascot" of the most recent generation. Plus he really deserves a chance to prove himself in Smash Bros since his abilities in Melee just weren't up to par.

Mewtwo hands down.
Not only is he the only real pokemon villian he is. . .
1. WAYYY more recognizable. (Not just some random new pokemon that only 4th gen poke-fans would recognize)
2. One of the most unique fighters in melee (and between them Mewtwo crushes Lucario in that area seeing as he isn't some random hand-to-hand fighter).
3. Actually important to the series. (not just some pokemon that gets alil merch that alot of other pokemon get like Lucario)
4. Had the starring role in the highest selling anime movie to ever hit NA (Not just some DVD with must likely subpar sells).
Really, the only thing supporting Lucario getting into brawl are a hand full of smash nerds on a hand full of smash forums and maybe his one anime appearance 2 years ago. . .

. . . .This is just a Mewtwo Vs Lucario topic for today and Im tossing out some reasons why I personally see Mewtwo as the "hands down" better choice
.Im not getting detailed so my reasons are pretty blunt...
And I didn't care about Lucario for a long time. . . it's his fans that made me "disslike" him. But by no means do I "hate" a made up character that got waved in with 100 other characters in a game with 500 different characters. . .thats a waste of time and affort

...Im not saying anything new to this thread. What I said basically adds up to "Mewtwo is a the only pokemon villian and is recognizable/ important in areas a-b-c where as Lucario aint" which has been the general theme here with the more detail post.
Could I have said it "nicer"? Sure. . . but what would that do? Someone could still very well jump on my post for listing my reasons either way seeing as the "controversy" part of the Lucario topic is the fact that Lucario fans/ fanboys will jump on anything against it.
And plus, its up to them to get into a huge debate over a list of reasons I personally feel amoung themselves. I assure you that I don't plain on being in some big debate with them.
