I think some of the voters want it to continue. Myself included.

After careful thought and deliberation...as I do want both characters in Brawl and Sonic is currently winning, I'm going to have to throw in a vote for Geno. My optimal end game is for the two of them to have a draw, but if it doesn't happen...ah well.

I'm voting for Geno. Sure Sonic is the popular choice and everyone wants to see the long awaited Mario vs. Sonic bout (myself included) - but we already have an entire game that will be dedicated to that...
I think it's high time for Geno's star to shine once more.

ok this is now official the end of the fight (sorry sinn hardly anyone else posted requesting a carryon) sonic has now won this fight but geno is not completely out as there is such strong support for geno i shall match him up against another opponent in a later fight if it doesnt exceed my roster prediction of 40 k

You realize that if Geno were in the lead, my conflicted self would have voted for Sonic. And I don't see it as longer, per se. He ended the last contest at 1AM this morning. Why should it be any different for this match?

Ummm... fairness. You want to shut it down because Sonic is in the lead, thus you would get who you wanted to win. The worst thing that can come from more time is more votes, and therein a better idea of who should win...
