Whoo hoo!!! Brazil lost today. One less threat for Argentina IF they beat Germany tomorrow (I'm having doubts about that)

Slightly off topic, but has to do with this, anybody have that Fifa World Cup game that came out on Saturday? Pretty beast :p

Suarez pushed over Ribéry and netted his team a win.

What a pro.

Getting to the top by being a ****. We'd be good pals I think.

Rofl... The only reason Ghana got this far was coz of 2 penalties (to give em a win over serbia and a draw against aus, the would have finished on 1 point in group stages). How appropriate that they get denied a goal through a blatant penalty, miss then penalty then miss the penalties AGAIN in the shootout. I dont feel sorry for them at all, it was luck that they got this far.

Also, physcic octopus 2g.

my mexico ):

I love you, Jane.

Anyways, Ghana was about to actually get into semis with a lucky hit. That'd be the most hilarous thing I've ever seen in a WC (back on Korea/Japan, I wasn't really interested on football), and the best that could have happened to this tournament itself.

btw,

I agree it's bloody dirty play by Suarez, but anyone in that position would have done it. Instead of a definite loss, he sacrificed himself, resulting in a ray of hope in the form of a penalty.

I just couldn't believe Ghana missed that penalty in extra time, only for the same player to score later... If only it had been reversed.

oh well, Argentina vs Germany soon!

Looks like the 'streak naked if my team wins' is catching on.
First Diego Maradona, now a lingerie model will do similar if Paraguay wins.

It'll take more then that to convert me, GO ARGENTINA!

Argentina versus Germany should be amazing. In truth I'm worried for Argentina. The 4 3 3 they play may leave them susceptible to being over run in midfield. Schweinsteiger may have too much space and time on the ball to pick passes and keep Germany ticking, all the plaudits have been towards Ozel but he's been the one pulling the strings. Mascherano can't keep tabs on him and the likes of Ozel on his own. Di Maria and Maxi Rodriguez's football revolves around their attacking contribution so they can't do much. Messi, Tevez and Higuian can press all they like but they won't have influence in their own half. To overcome this the natural choice would be for Argentina to play Veron alongside Mascherano. If they don't I think Germany will boss the midfield.

Alternatively they can just try outscoring them which could lead to any scoreline lol.

As for the Spain game, Torres has to deliver.

This doesn't make sense, because if Holland beat Brazil, doesn't that make Holland an even bigger threat than Brazil.

In one word, no.

Keisuke Honda is ****ing epic.

It's funny though, every World Cup a bunch of players play amazing and all these big clubs buy them, then 9/10 of them flop and they get sold off to some random second rate teams for much less.

So funny.

No Veron. See how that works.

lol I was literally going to say an early goal will open up this game so much.

This is going to go nuts.

Schweinsteiger already dictating play.

Argentina have no presence in midfield. Mascherano is their only defensive minded player. There's no pressure when Germany have the ball.

Game is so open.

Yeah.I think I'll stick with the German octopus because he has actually called it right the whole way through the world cup.

I really don't see why Spain are playing Torres again tonight, he has been ****!

Holy ****. Paraguay's playing hella tough.
Either they practiced like crazy, or Spain is just underestimating. Either way, I hope Paraguay wins, that way the World Cup goes crazyyyyyyy.
