This is Salty Joystiq Gaming Lounge first weekly event on Friday! We will be hosting Melee, PM, & Mortal Kombat XL. We will be alternating between Melee & Smash 4 every week, so one week will be having Melee and the following week will feature Smash 4. our venue has all the set ups needed for the event, we provide the Gamecubes, Wii U's, and PS4's. The only thing participates are obligated to bring are the controllers for the tournament they are signing up for and pay the fees required. The venue has a bathroom and concession available to all customers so outside food and drinks are not permitted. Now lets get into rules and regulations for this event.

1st – 60%
2nd – 30%
3rd – 10%
31-45 Players
1st – 50%
2nd – 25%

General Melee Rules:
Game version: US Nintendo GameCube
Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, No Items, Pause Disabled, 2/3 Games, 3/5 for Finals Matches
Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.
Counter-pick Stages: Pokemon Stadium.Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are not legal.
Additional Rules:
Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
Any matches that are best of five, there are no stage bans.
You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.

- 8 minutes
- The TO is the final arbiter of all disputes
- In the case of simultaneous death, the initiator of the suicide move wins. If there is no such person, players go back to that stage and play 1 stock 3 minutes
- In the case of timeout, the player with the most stocks wins. In the case of a tie, player with lowest percent wins. If that is also a tie, players go back to that stage and play 1 stock 3 minutes
- If a player quits the match, they lose by default
- In the case that a match is unable to be finished (setup crashes, TV unplugged, etc.), restart the match you were on but retain the current set count. If done intentionally, the offending player may be DQ’d at TOs discretion
- In the case of a pause, the pausing player must sacrifice a stock at opponent’s discretion
- All characters selectable through the CSS are legal except for
Warioman and Giga Bowser.

You will be pulling into a Plaza that has a CVS and other business', our entrance is on right side of the building there will be a "Salty Joystiq" sign next to the door so you will know where it is. Feel free to park on the left side of the building or in front of it. Just don't park in the reserved parking areas or the handicap and you should be fine!
