Fastfalling Needles?

Just a quick question, can I fast fall needles from the air with sheik like with falco? It doesn't seem like it but I'm not sure if im doing something wrong. Waiting for sheik to slowly fall from the air to get the needles as close to the auto-canceled grab/attack leaves you vulnerable for a pretty large window.

you can't fastfall or input directional control while in needle throwing animation. I recommend to short hop most of your needle setups for this reason.

you can however input fastfall before the animation, and this is useful in many ways. double jump fastfall needle setups, and also fastfalling needle charge to transition into ground needles.

Thank you the mechanic was confusing to me because i wasnt sure what happens when you fastfall and then charge needles in the air, it kind of seemed like it ignored the momentum change to me but ill be sure to mess with it.
