Famitsu Reveals Japan's 35 Best-Selling Switch Games of All Time

In their latest issue, Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has compiled a list of the 35 best-selling games in the Switch's entire history. This comes right at the time of the Switch's 5th anniversary as it originally released on March 3rd, 2017.

The 35 best-selling Switch games in Japan (as of March 2022), along with the number of units they've sold, are as follows:

  2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 4,764,379
  3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 4,429,626
  4. Pokemon Sword / Shield – 4,309,812
  5. Splatoon 2 – 4,031,223
  6. Ring Fit Adventure – 3,074,777
  7. Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! – 2,597,078
  8. Minecraft – 2,514,952
  9. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl – 2,502,926

While a lot of these games may not come as a shock, there is the occasional game/ranking that may surprise some people. Needless to say, it is a very detailed list that helps to show how far the Switch has come since 2017 and can be used as a reference to show much the Switch has changed many years in the future.

Now that I think about it, shouldn’t we wait until the switch’s life cycle is over before we make claims of “all time” cause I think there’s one or two upcoming titles that change this
