Well no one seemed to answer the tap thing... but you guys are saying it's just a timing thing, so is that just waiting until a button press will trigger the first jab instead of the next in the sequence?

yeah just tapping the A button with a certain beat will do the same thing, not sure on the timing but you should be able to find it out by experimenting
