Chicago’s monthly EXPosure series returns with its 9th installation! EXPosure 8 blew attendance records from previous events out of the water with its many out of state players. EXP 9 still managed to drum up a respectable number despite occurring on the same weekend as an MLG event 6 hours to the south, clocking in at 68 attendees in Melee and 67 in PM.

On the Melee side, Kels picked up his 6th monthly win with a 3-2 victory over ORLY in an incredibly entertaining first set, while Scythe managed to hold off a vengeful Oro?! in PM to take his 3rd PM EXPosure win.
Shoutouts to a much more cleanly organized and run tournament- we ended around 1 am despite a full hour dinner break and starting a half hour behind. Next time, I predict it''ll go even better and we may finish at midnight. :)

Also, I don't have specific placings for everyone who didn't make it out of pools, because those results were done by hand offline. Sorry! Only bracket results :( All I know is that I was one win out of making my first EXPosure bracket. But I'm not salty. Not at all.

whoever is giving the ranking points seems to be extremely biased about giving less points to the midwest despite big events

It's actually the person uploading the bracket. When you upload it you select the size of the event. This was marked as just a local even though it was large enough to qualify as a regional; hence why it had low points. I edited it to the correct size. Generally we just check to make sure people aren't uploading small events and marking them as large to prevent anyone gaming the system; not the other way around. If you have other instances, please let me know.

Oh sweet I didn't know I was allowed to label the monthly tournaments as regionals.

Yes; the terms 'local' 'regional' 'national' etc... are all based on number of players.

For actual pools submission. Not for events that had pools.
Local
8-50 Entrants
Regional
