event glitch

so i'm playing melee on Wii with a game cube controller using nintendont and I cant unlock past stage 30 I have tried two separate roms and deleted all data for event matches twice and It will never unlock past stage 30 is this a bug or is it because of the Wii detecting i'm using a rom or hack or is it something completely new???

It’s not a glitch. I believe the factor to unlock events from 31-40 is that you MUST have Dr Mario, Luigi, Jigglypuff, Falco, and Young Link unlocked first in order to access these events. Some of the events require you to play as the hidden characters which is why you must unlock them first before you can access it.

Oh thanks but its OK because I just downloaded a 100% save file so I could go ahead and have it all thanks.
