Hiya,it's been a while since I've just been poking my head around this forum and finally decided to join the boards.

Now,I'd formally like to introduce a problem that's been biting away at my head for a while now [my apoligies if a thread likes this has already been made;I used the search function and didn't find anything]

So as you know,Sakurai ran out of time to incorporate some stuff into melee [I.E. Ganon's sword,FE stage, original movesets, etc.] and that's the recent cause of the delay in December.
Now,what has me worried is was the delay from Dec. 3 to Jan. 24 time?
Or maybe I'm ignorant and don't realize how fast and much production can be made in that amount of time?

It just always bugs me because I want Sakurai to be able to put his all in it,and not just rush it.
As much as I'd hate another delay[which seems unplausible with the recent update of the game going gold] I really want them to be ok with it,and not just throw the stuff in at the last second like last time.

Thoughts?
P.S. First thread. Fresh meat,go ahead

Some poeple in Nintendo when asked said it was a "Brawl Perfection Program"

To me that sounds like squeezing a few more things in and bug removal.

The fake OC, because I'm nothing like them.
It always gets me when people think he's just rushing it. I really don't think he is, he's been working on it since May of 2005. Melee was probably started in mid-late 2000, as the original was relased in early 1999. That's a year and a half. We're running on 2 ¾ years. He is putting his all into it, and just because the updates aren't dazzling EVERY day, doesn't mean he's rushing. In fact, it probably means he still has a few tricks up his sleeve, like today's update was, totally not even thought about by us. (That is, no one thought much of the lottery and its function)

I think I agree because just because say dedede was announced when he was he could have been programed in a year ago(unlikely)

Never really brought the whole Dojo updates into this;that has nothing to do with it :/
Im not dumb enough to assume this just because of the updates, that's silly.

I guess you could say it's just a paranoia.Sorry if your sick of the doubtness of Sakurai,it's just it's happened before and you never know.

But what Mic said has pretty relieved me in a sense

I believe the stream of crap updates was due to the delay, and Sakurai having to find stuff to update with the additional time.

Good updates are back, though, as the time gap has been filled (with crap) and we are now back on track with what I believe were the original, intended updates (assuming Sakurai has a schedule of some sort).

To me, this points that there will not be another delay, which means Sakurai has put in all he has wanted, which means I can enjoy smacking people with Ganandorf's sword.

There is always something they can add. It is impossible to have everything needed to be in there. They might forget a characters upper lip when you don't see it. Would it really matter?

Hopefully, Sakurai already had the ideas to have the things to be in before he started making Brawl.

He'll just make it the best he can make it... Hopefully. :psycho:

Welcome to the Boards, Asuma! Good first thread.

Sometime around the Rotation Mode update, I just stopped worrying about whether he'd put everything he wanted in Brawl. If he had time to go back and put in Co-op Events, Spectator Mode, Coin Launcher, Co-op Home Run Mode, and all of those nonessential features, I can guarantee you it's because everything else was finalized months ago and he had to do something with all that extra time.

And yeah, the 2 months from the delay is definitely enough to add in a few things. If they made Melee in 9 months or so, 2 months are definitely enough for at least a couple of stages, some stickers, trophies, new songs, etc. And even without the delay, Brawl still has one of the longest development cycles I've seen for a console game, so I don't think time was an issue.

I wouldn't worry too much. This is going to be the best game ever.

It'll be much better than that. Welcome to the boards.

Yeah, Sakurai always has a whole deck of aces up his sleeve. There's not a doubt in my mind that there will be at least one more feature or character that will incite a "This will truly be the best game ever" thread.

Seriously. If he had the time to add Wario's f-flab, he certainly has had the time to perfect this game.

The President of Nintendo said it was "to make a bigger, more complete roster", and for "the Smash Brothers Perfection Program". Characters and balanced=the reason of the delay. With the massive staff size, Sakurai (or SKRAI, as we know him ) probably put almost everything he wanted into Brawl.

This is Sakurai's dream game, after all, as well as Nintendo's. He's making a HEAVILY original sequal, working with his three beloved characters he made (King Dedede, Kirby, Meta Knight) as playable characters, and other Kirby characters, making a smashbros game with online, and making a game with a full on story mode that is heavily indepth and fun. And he's running the show-so it's going to all be alright (despite no Ness. :(). :)
