You never saw Snex's Delorean?

It was amazing.

And dangit, Amorasaki does beat me. I really thought I did win.

I couldn't help but engage in this old thread (no pun intended I swear) and proudly state I would welcome the glory days of items back with open arms.

To date I can't think of a more fun, yet stressful game than my best of 1, all items on medium, 3-way, poke floats playoff match with Eddy and Iggy. "Come on luck!"

Oh yes, when I win this Aged Smasher Series, (Mike G you're not allowed to go) my carpel tunnel surgery should be paid for so I can start using a GC controller again for more than an hour!

Hey, I qualify as an old-timer by those standards too! Barely, but whatever.

There would be much awesomeness in such a tour. If some youngster would be kind enough to set up the date and place, the rest of us could get in a nap and be ready to go by then.

I've stopped wavedashing. I just don't feel like I have the energy anymore to move my character around all zippity-doo. L-cancelling will probably be next.

Interestingly enough, I have gotten kinda good at crouch-cancel-teching in my old age.

Ah, to be young Iggy again, with nothing on my back but a knapsack and a pocket full of dreams.

Wow, really? That's random. Could you ever double-stick tech out of rests when they hit you? I never once did it successfully.

I keep reading this and thinking like

"To engage a senior smasher, approach slowly don't use sudden movements, don't bring up newer players, or the technical foxes that were not apart of the metagame of years ago otherwise they will leave."

It's true that we would've killed all these foxes back in our day, no question.

I believe I've done it once or twice. Don't you have to keep holding down after you do the move? I never made it a habit.

I don't know. I read Magus' description a few times and I still don't think I ever really was trying it right.

I don't think it was actually possible. Yet another myth spun out of control by the rumor mill.

In other news, I just unlocked Sonic and Tails yesterday.

WHOA Sonic and Tails. How'd you do that? I thought that was long disproved, but I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Since old people talk about politics, I thought I'd post my recent summary of the health care situation, Melee-style, that I wrote for Joshu/Jeff:
If this was Melee, the Democrats just spent a whole finals match edgecamping with the crowd booing the entire time, won the match, then the TO wakes up and realizes that there was a rule against edgecamping and declares the win void. Now you wasted all that time edgecamping and also generated a ton of bad will in the community. Except the match took a year, and the community is this country.

There's got to be some good Melee-ized descriptions for other stuff.

But then you remember that the Republicans tried to counter-pick the exact same stage on more than one occasion in the last 20 years, and now they are trying to get it banned just because they don't want their opponent to win, and are trying to convince the crowd that it's a dumb stage and hurts competitive smash. Unfortunately, a lot of the crowd just repeats the same things their favorite players say.
