This thread is to keep track of tournaments with bracket images that need to be recovered or recreated in tio. The results will then be entered into the Elo ratings database. If you find tournaments to be added, post a link here making sure that there is easy access to the bracket image and list the date of the tournament.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME RECREATING AIB BRACKETS. THEY CAN BE DOWNLOADED

I've been going through big regional threads trying to scrape together whatever results I can. I managed to find pretty much the entire G-rev series and Carroll has graciously agreed to help us out with those. I also managed to salvage about half of the No Johns series (missing many of the big ones though). A few I was able to recreate simply from the shoutouts / partial results.

Gonna be working on finding MD/VA tourneys next....

The link to the remaining 2008 No Johns is truncated in the middle, likely from C/Ping a post without quoting/editing it.

It turns out there wasn't actually a bracket for the 10/13/08 No Johns. I'm not sure why I put the link there.

Kish, I was looking for that thread and I'm glad you found it. There's gotta be some way they'll let us see the archives. What's the point of archiving stuff if there's no way to see it?

The stuff was moved because the server we had switched to couldn't handle so much data. We're working on trying to retrieve it.

Does your list mean we need to reconstruct everything from All is Brawl, too?

No, AIB stuff can be downloaded by Zivilyn. Those are just big ones that I found that I decided to save the links to by putting them there.

Oh well, then I just wasted an hour of my time reconstructing INNSomnia V. At least the names are lined up now.

Sigh. Guess I should just dive into FCD if I have time again.

He's old school so he gets it.

I did upload INNV with as many name corrections as I could figure out and I think I did well. All the generic names, I just labeled as "Ed-INN" for example since we HAVE NO STANDARDS ON THIS YET. Is this a problem? Made it about, oh, 60% through Round 1 pools at FCD last night. No idea why I'm doing this. >_<

Probably will get it done by the start of the weekend, at this rate.

We love you and your obsessive need to document things KishPrime. Seriously, it's so good to have the FC events.

It just drives me crazy that I have one random piece of FC6 and then...nothing. So weird. I can understand not having the posterboard brackets from FC1 and D, but that's just bizarre.

I think we need to rethink the way we handle randoms who have only entered one event in their Smash "careers." Maybe they can be provisionally rated and then not displayed on the main list of players. They really shouldn't matter at all for the purposes of maintaining a player ratings database, but we need them to exist in some form so players that beat them get credit for it.

My vote is to suggest that there be some way for us to "lock" players like that once they're in to identify them as such. Locked players just get saved as "Jake (8)" with whatever number arbitrarily applied.

Alternatively, just do what I was doing and label them by tournament they entered.
