A truly amazing game, Elite Beat Agents should be represented in Brawl in some way, preferably as an Assist Trophy. But there's a slight problem... Elite Beat Agents is the spiritual sequel of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, a Japanese-exclusive game. EBA has been released in North America, Europe, Australia, and South Korea. But the original game was only released in Japan, and other countries would be unfamiliar with it. So the question is... Which game should be represented in Brawl; EBA or OTO?

EBA is more popular in terms of sales. Plus I like EBA more.
That's true, actually. I just read somewhere that EBA is selling in big retail stores in Japan, which is odd because the game was never meant to release over there. Also, its selling very well.

Hmm... maybe I should get a copy. But truth be told, I like OTO music better for smash.

I'd like to see both squads (as well as Female cheer leaders, etc) as alternate costumes of one single "cheer squad" character in the game.

As far as music goes, though, it's a pretty useless comparison as most of the music featured in Ouendan is familiar to the Japanese audience (while the only recognizable track to me is "Ready Steady Go," due to Full Metal Alchemist) and the music featured in Beat Agents is familiar to the American audience. Familiar, popular music is obviously not typical to the Smash Bros. series, so it's pretty safe to say that it would seem odd to each demographic to have their respective Ouendan/EBA music in it. Personally, I CRINGE at the thought of having "Material Girl" playing in the background while I'm smashing, but am not at all turned off at the prospect of L'Arc~En~Ciel playing simply because it is a song with a fitting beat that I have no (or few) preconceived notions about.

...notable exceptions to this exist, of course. The updated version of "Jumpin" Jack Flash" or "Highway Star" would be fine inclusions, in my book. ;)

Has anyone even PLAYED Ouendan?! You people are crazy if you say EBA > OTO :(

I own it. Best game EVAH.
I own both (though haven't played Ouendan 2). I like the gameplay in eba better. I also think it was more challenging. I did like the characters in Ouendan better though... and the shout at the start of each level.
