The Smashboards bi-weekly AMA's are back! For this AMA video we have Elegant, one of the most prominent Smash Wii U Luigi specialists in the world.

Some argue that Matt "Elegant" Fitzpatrick, ranked 6th on the current So-Cal PR is considered the best Luigi player in the world at the moment, next to Mr. Concon. In such a short amount of time, Elegant has improved in his gameplay and as a player, getting notable wins over Yuta "Abadango" Kawamura, James "VoiD"Makekau-Tyson and Shawn "K9" Bruce, proving to be a serious threat.

In this video AMA Elegant and I go over his thoughts over Luigi's meta game, thoughts about Mr. Concon, Luigi's popularity and his top 3 favorite Jumex flavors!

Don't forget to follow him on Twitter for any updates or news on Elegant and his current events. If you did enjoy this content, please, make sure you subscribe to Houston Smash Network, Smashboard's official channel for interviews on YouTube!

Y'all blind and ignorant if y'all really believe Luigi has what it takes to rise up and be actually a solo viable char.

Best Luigi? Nope. 2nd best? Maybe. ConCon is and always will be #1 and Boss is up there too.
Currently Elegant and Mr.ConCon live in the same region and attend the same weekly tournaments and Elegant more often than not wins in the ditto against ConCon.

If you're able to mash fast enough then Luigi's recovery/edge guard game becomes immensely better. This as well as his already good combo and footsies/neutral game makes a lot of top tier match ups around if not 50-50.

As long as every MU of that particular char is winnable, they're solo viable.
Good point. Can Luigi be top tier with unwinnable match-ups though, or any character? You can have a character that destroys a lot of the cast and is hard countered by another character and that character would be fine, as long as you have a good secondary or a very random pocket that could catch people by surprise. Many people solo main and perform sub-optimally. If Elegant had a secondary, would he be even better, probably so.
