Ya know I heard every single state is (trying) seceding. Good let them ALL secede, get together, and create a nation called:

The United States of America.

And our leader will be Barrack Hussein Obama!

And we will have a Legislative Branch with a Senate and HoR!

YES! THAT IS AMAZING! *sarcasm*

God help us....

What? What sacred text? Honestly nobody complained about it except you. I had it for a while.

But really, lets say they all secede, they're really going to stay like that? With each states conditions? After that they'll recreate America and probably bring in Obama again or a new president.

Discussing this is about as meaningful as discussing what we would do if mind controlling jellyfish come from space to destroy us.

Actually I could see that as a more credible threat because YOU CAN'T SHOW ME HOW THAT'S UNLIKELY.

THIS ****ING THRREEEAAAD.

I'm sorry, but that's just ridiculous. Did you even think about this before you wrote it?

Now, mind controlling octopuses, on the other hand...

A state secedes, they try to make their own currency, no one has any confidence in it. The money becomes worthless to the point that people plaster their houses with it. The seceded states try to have the national government accept it, the government refuses to accept it. Texas accrues some revenue still from being the leading exporter of supplies. However has to look for many basic goods for import, the US in my opinion would not immediately actively trade with it in the beginning and would try to stake it out to bringing their sorry ***** back in. Texas in trying to accrue products itself from different areas and trying to build up revenue to self-sustains itself begins to increase the money supply and start blowing dollar bills to maintain some initial capital hoping that they only need to only do this to put down an initial investment. Whose going to deal though? China? You think China will deal to Texas, they have tons of treasury bonds in the U.S. and see these shmucks as putting risk on them possibly not getting a potential return. Not enough people come to the deal, Texas panics then realizes it can't be self-sufficient and in more or less terms everything goes back to how it is before, except we probably accrued a couple more billion dollars in debt and we have defunct independent state bills that people have plastered all over themselves.

That's got to be the most idiotic thing in this whole thread.

It's octopi.

http://grammarist.com/usage/octopi-octopuses/

Octopi, the supposed plural of octopus, is a favorite among fans of quirky words. But though it pains us to point this out, octopi is not etymologically correct. Octopus is of Greek, not Latin, origin, so its archaic plural would be octopodes, not octopi.

In any event, there’s no reason to use a plural from any other language. Octopus was derived from a Greek source, but it has been in English for centuries and is now an English word, so we can treat it as one. Countless long-established Greek- and Latin-derived words are pluralized according to modern English conventions, and there’s no reason why octopus should be an exception.

Mic derails thread.

Consequence-free thread derailing outside of the DR confirmed.

In all actuality this is usual post-election butthurt and by next Spring only the most butthurt hundreds will be left standing.

There isn't an "Obama wins second term" thread in here? This is the best we got?

Hmm.
