I've had a look around here and can't see any threads like this so I decided to make one.
I'm gonna be honest, I don't think Eggplant Wizard stands any chance at all really of getting into Brawl as a playable character. An assist trophy would be a perfect use for him to be honest. I'm simply putting the idea out for the following reasons.
1. He is definately a WTF character, something that would really shock many people if he was playable.
2. Granted, Medusa is the main boss of Kid Icarus, but Eggplant Wizard is far more unique and recognised as being from the game than her. Also he's appeared in every Kid Icarus game whereas she's only appeared in the first. He also appeared in the only Kid Icarus media outside of the games, the cartoon Captain N as a henchman for Mother Brain, the only Kid Icarus character other than Pit himself to be a regular on it.
3. Now, an argument against him is that he doesn't have any moves beyond the Eggplant wand, which is true, however, in Smash 64, did Captain Falcon have any moves? Did Fox have any moves? He'd certainly have a list of unique possibilities (stealing this from the Captain N cartoon) he could use many strange Vegetable related moves such as (this is just off the top of my head, if anyone makes a better moveset I'll put it in here for them...)
B- Tomato Bombs
B>-Leak Whip
B\/- Egg Bomb (a simple butt stomp)
B/\- Salad Parachute (does a jump like Peach and then pulls out a parachute to slow fall)
Final Smash- Tossed Salad (a load of different veggies drop down and start shaking around hitting all other players, also there are veggies left lying around whilst this is happening which anyone can pickup)
I know overall he'd be a ridiculous character, but then does that really matter? Wario's hardly a serious fighter, neither are the Ice Climbers, so I really don't think having a ridiculous fighter would do any damage to the game.

It can't really be any more obvious... he appears, throws Eggplants at people who then can't do any attacks for a short length of time. It's too powerful a move for a standard attack if he was playable but as an AT it would be perfect.
