Pokkén Tournament Duel Phase problems

hi. I am on a huge losing streak in this game in general. I can combo and act fine in field phase but in duel phase I am getting out sped and just out prioritized by other moves. What would be mewtwo's quickest moves in duel phase?

Probably mid-air Y (useful if you can learn how to short hop > air dash cancel into it). Other than that, I like using down X (tail sweep).

Personally in duel phase I use Barrier and Fire Punch a lot.

From what I can tell, his somewhat lacking attack speed in Duel Phase is made up for with Barrier coming out pretty quickly. It seems that with Mewtwo, spacing and knowing your opponent are your best friends in Duel Phase.
