No matter how unlikely, I give the creator credit for thinking it out in a logical manner and addressing all the main arguments. Would be very different but probably a lot of fun.

Thank you...

And, to everyone, not you specifically, I pointed out that I do not believe it will happen and that it is only one possibility for a CAC mode. I also pointed out that we needed something new to discuss considering that we're running out of ideas...

Kind of cool, but as has already been addressed many times... it would take all of 2 days before people were running around on the online mode as a character constructed 100% of male genitalia.

Interesting idea. It'd be a nice touch if SSBB decided to go that route, but I'd rather they wouldn't. I'd rather have solid characters to choose from than to have a multitude of my made-up characters fighting each other.

NO NO NO. We don't need any stupid create a character type options in Brawl. Why don't you just use the characters that Sakurai gives us? Creating characters ruins the game. We don't need any stupid character creation modes in brawl. EVER.

Today's Update: Create your own stage!

"But Sakurai, you're stupid! Create stages for us. Creating stages ruins the game! We don't need any stupid stage creation modes in brawl." Think about that one more time.

This game is supposed to be FUN. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting the feeling that Sakurai wants this game to be awesome FOREVER. Possible meaning: Brawl is the last Smash Bros. If this were the last game, wouldn't you want to be able to create your own characters? This game will definitely be fun, but maybe with us creating our own character/stages, it could be fun forever.

Personally, I think creating your own character would add greatly to the game. It could be Ferro de Lupe's Hero character or Miis or whatever, but it definitely would be cool.

It's a pretty cool idea and (and an extremely well done thread) but given the mixed reviews that this game recieved, I'm not sure the character is worthy of squaring off against the likes of Mario and Solid Snake. Still, crazier things have happened...

Pay close attention to the underlined parts:

"Create-A-Character would un-balance Brawl even more!" - How so? If the afore mentioned CAC were implimented, it would only be logical to assume that the PHYSICAL APPEARANCE of the character would be altered. Nothing would vary between an alien character, a stick character, and a robot character other than appearance. Exact same moveset/hitboxs/stats means each one fights the same. (This counter argument also works in favor of the Miis.)

"Why is this a good idea?" - As I answered earlier, Hero would allow complete freedom for CAC possibilities. Thus, realistically, we could have fights that normally wouldn't be possible such as Stick Figure vs Gandalf vs George Bush vs Jack Sparrow.

Are you joking? Seriously... if there was a character creation mode it wouldn't be third party... it wouldn't be THQ... it wouldn't have come out a couple of months before Brawls release... etc.

But seriously tell me your joking... its not the fact you want a create a character its the fact that you think that Sakurai would for no apparent reason make the create a character mode third party... I mean that games **** anyway.

Did you not even bother reading the part of my post that says:

I am well aware of the likelihood that this character will not appear. I thought the idea would be nice for discussion purposes, since we are starting to run out of topics to discuss *curses the delay.* I am NOT claiming this character idea WILL be in Brawl.

If you're not claiming it as a possibility or that it has even a remote chance why bother making a thread?
Because we need something to talk about.

Everything else has been talked to death five and a half million times...

And, btw, I AM claiming it as a possibility. I'm just not saying it's a STRONG possibility.

Possibility =/= Guaranteed

Roy was from an established series though. This game is a brand-new IP. By including a Drawn to Life character, Brawl would effectively be advertising for a brand new third-party game that doesn't have any significant place withing video game history (it doesn't have any history at all), received mediocre reviews, features a game mechanic (draw your character) that's been done before (can't remember the game's name), and really has no significance to Nintendo. The game simply has no significance.
Games you are trying to think of are two RPGs for the PlayStation 2. Magic Pengel: The Quest for Color and Grafitti Kingdom. I have them both, although I bought them used and never intended to play the RPG. I bought them so my friends and I could draw monsters and fight each other with them. I usually make a ***** a weapon. I do this for the funny.

I know the last 3rd party character. I'll give you a hint: his name ends with 'man'

I don't think this is a silly unrealistic idea, it might be unlikly but it's not silly. But Cac mode might end up as being something sakurai made just for brawl.

2007......oh yeah Bomberman :chuckle:

Because, no matter how unlikely it may be, it IS a good idea.
A create a character would be a good idea.

Lending a spot to a character who has appeared in one mediocre DS game from a company famed for making under average games is not.

Okay, allow me to re-word this...

The concept of "drawing your own character" is a good idea.

I used Hero as my example because he best symbolizes it.

Yes drawing your own character is a good idea but all you had to do was create a thread about it and say something like "Similar in concept to what you do in Drawn to life"

no, my brother owns the game, and you can completely create your character. i was bored and tried it out. it was a decent game if you ignore the saving bunny people part.
Third jump: wings
B across, snow gun

B down, homing star shooter

I would love a character creator, especially to the extent that Graffiti Kingdom took it.
