Who's this guy?
This is James Sunderland, a protagonist from the Silent Hill series. In fact, he's the protagonist of Silent Hill 2, which has been known as one of the greatest video games of all time.
What is Silent Hill?
Silent Hill is a survival horror video game franchise by Konami. The game in the series we're talking about is Silent Hill 2, which was first released in 2001. I think it might be the best game in the series.
What is Silent Hill 2 about?
I think the game's story teaches you about the side effects of depression, and probably other mental illnesses. I’m not really sure, to be honest. To start with, our protagonist James' wife, Mary, is dead, and how she died...well...I'm not gonna spoil that. But anyway, James is depressed about it. But strangely enough, he receives a letter that says it was from Mary, even though she died, and in the letter, she says something about their "special place". After James reads the letter, he goes to the place, Silent Hill, to see if his wife is actually alive waiting for him there. Along the way, James...well, let’s just say he meets a few interesting characters along the way. Alright, that’s all I’m gonna say about the game's story. You might wanna play it for yourself, or watch somebody play it.
Why James?
I think James is one of the most compelling characters in the Silent Hill series, and one of the most well-written video game protagonists ever. Plus, I think he would have a pretty interesting moveset.
What would his moveset?
Well...to be honest, I’m not sure. I guess I didn’t plan this all the way through...
What are his chances?
Probably pretty low, compared to a representative from Capcom's Resident Evil, like Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine.
What stage would they use?
Uhh...maybe...Silent Hill?
What music would they include?
The Silent Hill series has many great and memorable tracks, and I think a lot of them sound melancholic, which makes sense. Although, some of them revolve around being ambient and atmospheric, and some of them are hectic and chaotic. Anyway, they should include music from the Silent Hill series, especially Silent Hill 2. Both originals and new remixes. They should get the series' composer, Akira Yamaoka, to do a Smash remix for Silent Hill. Here are my picks:
