Inspired by the Zelda Player Finder
Welcome to the Ganondorf Player Finder for all Ganondorf players in Smash 4. This project aims to provide information on a number of Ganondorf players from around the world - their region, their playstyle and (most importantly of all) their chosen colour palette. As of the time of my writing this post, I've already listed a few of the Ganons from A2ZOMG's Ganondorf Community Tier List, though only the ones I have knowledge of. If you'd like to be added to this list please provide the following (also, note that I haven't filled out any of the playstyle sections on my own, so even if you are already listed, please provide me with a brief summary of your playstyle, including both strengths and weaknesses if possible):

:::Example Post:::
Tag: GannonMaster
Region (State/Province/Region if Applicable, Country): Gerudo Valley, Hyrule
Chosen Colour Palette (1-8): 8
Playstyle (a short summary): GannonMaster is an aggressive player, using pressure to intimidate his opponent. He has a tendency to use options such as Wizkick or Flame Choke often in neutral, to the point where sometimes they become predictable. When edgeguarding, GannonMaster uses solely D-air or U-tilt, and often ends up losing stage control due to mistiming his U-tilts. Overall, GannonMaster is a spontaneous player that can easily end up destroying stocks in single hits, but can sometimes find it difficult to find such an opportunity.

Gleed
Updated as of: 16/02/17
Chosen Colour Palette: 3 (Violetdorf)
Rankings: #29 (B) on A2ZOMG's Ganondorf Community Tier List

Playstyle: (Ballad courtesy of Gleed)
Two playstyles diverged in a lost wood,
And sorry I cannot incorporate both;
And be one Ganon, long I ruled
And Wizkick spike as often as could,
Opposition dispatched to the realm of shadows;

Then took to YouTube, just as fair,
And having perhaps the glorious fame,
Because it was greasy and highlight worth;
As novel killings grew more dearth
Unable to quench the endless flame.

And with mourning clearly lay
In shadows, heart cold and black:
Oh, how I yearn for another D-air!
Foes in snares in chains of F-air,
Even kicks of Sparta yon Little Mac.

Recount this ballad with fist to the sky
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two playstyles diverged in lost woods, and I-
I took the less respectful,
And that has made all the difference.

Chosen Colour Palette: 1 (Standardorf)

Rankings: #10 on "Final Destination" PR, #21 (A) on A2ZOMG's Ganondorf Community Tier List
Playstyle: A2ZOMG is of the most notably conservative Ganondorfs; he will very rarely ever contest obvious baits directly and is often content with respectfully resetting neutral when the option is available. However, he also is known to take calculated risks such as using F-smash in footsies, in spite of his generally defensive, safe play.

Thumos
Updated as of: 17/02/17
Chosen Colour Palette: 4 (Verdantdorf)

Rankings: N/A
Playstyle: Thumos is an aggressive player who puts heavy emphasis on combos and edgeguards. He often uses edge-cancelled Wizkick to fake out opponents to open up a KO opportunity. Stays grounded when playing neutral and punishing, and tries to corner opponents in neutral. He overall has poor spacing and can often end up autopiloting, and can get impatient opponents begin to live past KO percent. Overall lacks a strong mental game, but has enough mechanical skill to make up for it.

Rankings: #68 (C) on A2ZOMG's Ganondorf Community Tier List
Playstyle: Omega Raider is a player that heavily relies on aggressive spacing and pressuring. Has a strong edgeguarding game, but a comparably poor neutral. Occasionally, Omega can be rigid in his playstyle and fail to adapt to opponents. Due to his neutral, he can be inconsistent with conversions on stray hits, leading to a spontaneous but inconsistent game plan, reliant on abusing a good advantaged state.

Playstyle: Kowalski is a player that utilizes advanced and creative combos/strings to deal damage. He is very tech heavy, utilizing tools such as EDD and PP often, and will often go for risky reads in neutral. He is heavily reliant on Flame Choke to rack damage and score kills, which can leave him at a deficit against players that can tech reliably. He utilizes ledge trumps often as an edgeguard choice. However, despite his overall high level of techskill, he has a poor neutral and disadvantage, often quickly choosing options in panic.

Playstyle: Spiral is a player that plays simply, going for the simplest and safest option the majority of the time. He often uses N-air and D-tilt as his main tools in neutral, as well as often uses Flame Choke to rack damage and get KOs. When edgeguarding, he tends to use U-tilt as a low-commitment option. Often can be predictable when landing, as he almost solely uses D-air or Wizkick.

Playstyle (a short summary): Ganondorf is a very powerful character relying on hard reads and spacing out your opponent to utilize his true potential. Wizkick is a good move to catch people by surprise and Flame Choke is a good combo starter for people that don't tech. If they do, you can read their movements and follow up. Ganondorf's up air is one of his best moves, with the front part killing early and the back part a really good tool to edgeguard opponents. Ganondorf can end stocks very easily, but his stock can also be ended easily if you're not patient and careful.
Oops, I wasn't clear in my description lol. I meant to describe your playstyle in that section.

Playstyle (a short summary): Omega is the type of guy that could a weird mix of aggro and spacing bundled together. Have slick edgeguarding sometimes but can be inconsistent with it due to poor neutral. Sometimes just doesn't get the right adaption when needed. Due to his neutral, he can be inconsistent on conversions at time and that leads him to doing unsafe stuff in neutral.

Playstyle (a short summary): One of the most notably conservative Ganon playstyles in existence; will very rarely ever contest obvious baits directly and is very content with respectfully resetting neutral when the option is available. However, also known to be a huge fan of F-smash in footsies in spite of generally playing "lame" for 95% of most games.

Relies on flame choke to get the most stuff. Also likes to trump. However, needs to improve spacing and neutral game.

Rankings: Wifi Warrior (no irl tourneys yet. Taken games off of players like A2ZOMG, Malgus, Strides) I consider myself C-tier, but I'm too lazy to post my matches rather than go over them myself.
Playstyle: Aggressive emphasis on combos and edgeguarding (consistently using offstage nair and Uair). consistently uses ledge cancel down b to fake out opponents, going for kills such as ledge cancel jump Uair under opponents, ledge cancel fade back fair for opponents on the ledge. Loves to go for stylish combos (footstool combos, jablocks, etc.) on wifi but probably would mostly refrain in tournament. Typically very grounded. tries to corner an opponent in the neutral. Has a fairly lacking neutral often due to subprime spacing and spamming DA on autopilot, and gets pressured when taking a stock becomes difficult. Needs to implement stronger mental strategy and ledge trumps for further improvement.

Playstyle: Lamer than non-spicy buffalo sauce. Comfortable on the ledge, relies a lot on aerial spacing, and enjoys using wizkick as the go-to grounded anti-air. Still uses unsafe options in neutral on account of being a novice, but seeing steady improvement through play and research. Hail the boot!

Ranking: lol (I've never attended an offline tournament because there are none here, but I came fourth in a wifi tournament once going all Ganon and that was kinda cool)
Playstyle: Spiral is a total scrub that thinks that "spacing" means spamming down tilt and nair, and that "reads" means Flame Choke until it works. He's a fan of edge-guarding, though often prefers to time an up-tilt rather than go off-stage (success varies on the skill of the opponent. Read as: never works off For Glory). Always lands with dair or Wizard's Foot.

Chosen Color Palette: #1 (Original Ganondorf)
Ranking: N/A (I've only attended three local tourneys. I placed 4th at my first one, 33rd tied with 15 other people at my second one, and 18th tied with 7 other people at my third one.)
Playstyle: My edge-guarding game onstage consists of using f-air and b-air. My neutral game is average at best, consisting of using n-air and down-tilt (sometimes jab) for spacing, up-smash to forward-tilt for pressure, and relying on my flame-choke tech chase, which is decent. My bad habits are there. I sometimes make easily punishable mistakes such as using wizkick in neutral and go for d-air attempts offstage. I've now been working on implementing using n-air and u-air instead of d-air to improve my edge-guarding game offstage. I haven't perfected any jablocks or true combos as of yet. My punish game, on the other hand, consists of using forward-smash and up-smash to punish my opponents. In terms of a baiting game, I don't have one.

Playstyle:

Two playstyles diverged in a lost wood,
And sorry I cannot incorporate both;
And be one Ganon, long I ruled
And wizkick spike as often as could,
Opposition dispatched to the realm of shadows;

Then took to YouTube, just as fair,
And having perhaps the glorious fame,
Because it was greasy and highlight worth;
As novel killings grew more dearth
Unable to quench the endless flame.

And with mourning clearly lay
In shadows, heart cold and black:
Oh, how I yearn for another dair!
Foes in snares in chains of fair,
Even kicks of Sparta yon Little Mac.

Recount this ballad with fist to the sky
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two playstyles diverged in lost woods, and I-
I took the less respectful,
And that has made all the difference.

Ranking: #14 on Ganon Community Tier List (mid A-tier)
Playstyle: Depending on your train of thought, Zaibatsu may play too risky or not risky enough. Will only go for guaranteed setups at low percents but isn't afraid to go off the rails for a little extra damage. Likes to use empty movement and fullhop empty jumps to feel out an opponent's habits. Notorious for use of fullhop, fastfall autocancel Dair to scare unfamiliar players or even trade with those who like to take their fight to the skies. Techchasing is his favorite aspect of Ganon, as he will often try to go for an Fsmash read after choke once the adequate percent is in range (+85%) to net an early kill. UpTilt spacing/timing is another strength of this player, as he often lands the sourspot of the attack to kill or even set up for an UpB uppercut to catch players who are sleeping.
Zaibatsu's biggest weaknesses are that he's always itching to fight, which means he won't slow down his play at crucial times when he needs to think things through. Shield pressure on tri-platform stages is also lacking, so dont expect shield breaks from this player too much. And he loves to land with attacks a little too much. Exploit his trigger finger.

Playstyle: super reliant on bair and up air as spacing tools, aggressive and read based, thus prone to struggling against super safe or mixup based play. Uses flame choke reads to maximize damage as opposed to optimizing tech chases, strong edgeguarder, average neutral.

Playstyle: Very conservative and calculated, almost to a disadvantage. An extremely technical player that plays based on reaction, and treats matchups like a flowchart. For most matchups in the game, Yokon has pre-planned options for mostly any scenario he is in, and he will abuse those options until the opponent adapts. It is at that point Yokon will also adapt by using more pre-planned options, and mixing them up. Yokon is very aggressive early game, yet will completely avoid approaching or even taking stage control when he has the percent or stock advantage, forcing the opponent to approach. Ruthless with edge guards, combos, and strings, Yokon tends to take a more avant-garde approach to neutral and ganons advantaged state, creating a very unique playstyle (yet no less calculated and effective). Always innovating ganon tech and combos, Yokon will go for the most optimal options in a scenario(most of the time).

Playstyle: What the **** did you just ****ing say about me, you little *****? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the **** out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my ****ing words. You think you can get away with saying that **** to me over the Internet? Think again, ******. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re ****ing dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little ****. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your ****ing tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will **** fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re ****ing dead, kiddo.
