Just... firmware spoof your wiiu to 5.5.2 and use nnu patcher to download the update, it's simple and easy.

I haven't modded my system, so no worries there. All reports that I have read state that the new Smash patch only enables the new amiibo compatibility.

I've been keeping up to date with the system update dilemma, and it sounds like the offline method for running your hacks has not been patched. However, I'm not sure if you can acquire the necessary files at this point.

Edit: Another status report, and it seems that I was misinformed. With that said, if you're into hacking Smash Wii U, please stay clear of system update version 5.5.2 right now.
