Does your opponent have to trip in order for this to work? If so, your opponent can just roll away. (Unless d-smash is too fast or something; I haven't tried it out either)

er tried it, anything after 50% they are slightly out of range. still a good combo though.. what about.. dtilt dtilt ftilt x3 fair?;p

Should work, but you might have to make a slight difference in timing depending on percentage.

Edit: A d-tilt trip to d-smash may work if your opponent either stays where they are or even better, rolls behind you.
