And my point is that every company is like this and can't be changed. People always complain about it but still support their products, nothing can be done about it. The food that you buy at the grocery store is also owned by a cynical company. Why do people always target Nintendo as if they're the worst company in the world? They probably wouldn't even make top 5, top 10 or top 20.

Okay? I'm not disagreeing with you here. Relatively speaking, Nintendo is far from a bad company, especially compared to other, worse companies like EA. Maybe people talk about Nintendo here because this is a forum...focused on a Nintendo series?

The point I disagreed with you on was that Nintendo was upcharging NSO members for a valid reason like needing expanded servers, which doesn't make sense given Nintendo's past business practices. But at this point we're derailing the thread, so I'll drop the argument.

My argument is that Nintendo has no reason (e.g. paying for expanded servers) to upcharge Nintendo Switch Online members, and is doing so purely because they can stand to gain more money.

Cynical for sure, but I think it always bears repeating that Nintendo is far from an altruistic company, nor are they our friend.

Capitalism isn't the problem here, you confuse a market that works around the world with a problem related to greed and companies working with money and others in power to gain more money and power. Ideally, you would be able to just boycott Nintendo and express why. Get enough people around and do it long enough and they lose enough money to make a change. However, Nintendo has this spicy thing called 'only we make the games you love' and since they still need this to make money and you can't play their games on other platforms, weak-willed people won't make the sacrifice to make a real change.

Educate yourself and go look at how even current Communist China has a capitalist market, as well as how Sweden was destroying itself with socialism until they did some reform and introduced a capitalist market. Now Sweden is one of the best places to live because they balance these two things better than the US currently is, even though living here is still one of the best out of the entire world.

I actually just learned about these things recently myself, crazy to think China is currently profiting from a market like that.

Haven't they already worked with Tencent? Unite's done by them isn't it. And also, couldn't it be more that the character was done(Which is it at this point let's be honest), and they just held off revealing it until Worlds?

I'll admit my choices of words were poor there. But yeah, it's not limited to Unite, which is why I'm not discounting Tencent at all:

* Tencent are distributing and producing Switches in China on Nintendo's behalf. I've talked about this in length previously, but the main reason why Tencent's the distributor is because of Chinese laws prohibiting international corps from distributing solo and because Nintendo's solo ventures in China did not succeed. The official Switches released there are mainly meant to play Switch games officially approved there (which is another can of worms due to the government's Moral Guardian-ism). While it can play international cartridges, there's no reason to buy a Chinese Switch unless you're (morbidly) curious about the China-exclusive Rabbids game really.

* Tencent have even gone so far as to publicly announce they want to create Mario games a la Ubisoft. What has got my eye raised is that they made that statement during November 2019 - any way one slices that it shows that they're willing to push hard. One primary reason they've done that is because Tencent had an overreliance on PC / mobile F2P games within China. When the Chinese government halted all video game approvals in 2018, Tencent crashed hard. So they're hardcore looking at the international / console side to help compensate.

it is hilarious to me that people want to change the rules now on smash dlc and its interesting how people make up narrative with little ot now evidence beyond thier own hopes.

"waluigi has inside nintendo support" based on what? any actual actions taken by nintendo to suggest that?

Astral Chain was a great game that honestly deserved more.

When the dog suit showed up I was hopeful for a second, but then Bayonetta showed up and those hopes immediately died.

They've literally been a bad company since the NES. Nothing is making them the worst company in the world. They're just a bad company. Big companies tend to not be good.

What exactly has Nintendo done to make them worse then they were before? All they did was charge for online, which is something sony and Xbox did before them and shut down a couple of fan tournaments. Nintendo=bad is just such a naive perspective.

I was confused at the end for a bit myself. I thought it was Xeno-something because I've never touched the franchise so it was my first thought with the MonolithSoft website update. Then I thought it was Astral Chain because an army shooting at a giant beast didn't feel like XBC, but the atmosphere and art direction didn't seem right. I finally figured out it was Bayo3 just before she shot a 'P' for Platinum Games into that monster.

My biggest fear is Bayo3 had massive creative rights issues. I feel like it may have taken so long because it was either announced with almost zero work done on it, or Nintendo was constantly cracking down on them. If that is Bayo herself, she seems very different and I think a different VA too, which confirms my worries when her VA took to Twitter about vaguely telling fans to get used to her not being the VA for Bayo anymore. Also seems like we have censorship for the nudity and I'm wondering if that will carry over to the language as well.

I hope you realize how confusing it is when you don't even tag who you're talking to. You're responding to 3 different arguments that could have easily been said by 3 separate people.

Also I never even said anything about Waluigi having inside support. All I said is I think he's CP11 because I believe the final character will break the internet.

God KH3 was a damn mess. I'm still so irked about how much potential that game had and how it starts off like it's gonna be the game it was meant to be, only to ruin it all as you continue on.

KH4 is in the works now and I'm not sure I could care about it at all. I mean, KH3 had DLC to play as Kairi, something I've wanted for ages and I didn't touch that crap.

KH3 DLC really redeemed it imo, and I've definitely come to appreciate it more as time goes on.

I'd revisit Re:Mind if I were you because I really enjoyed it.

I've been revisiting the KH series recently (what better way to break in a PS5) and am planning on hitting 3 after getting the Gold Crown in 2. It'd be great if Sora got in Smash at the same time.

This just reads to me like the Super Smash Bros. characters are almost always revealed at about 10 AM EST:

• Joker and Sephiroth were revealed at The Game Awards, so that's why they're later.
• Hero and Banjo & Kazooie were revealed at E3 so that's why their times differ.
• Steve was supposed to segue-way into Minecon so that's why he's later (also it's only by 30 minutes).

I would buy your theorycrafting if the presentations were immediately after their reveals, which they weren't. Hell, Hero's and Banjo's presentations were months after their original reveals.

I'm saying that Nintendo making Bayo 2 happen and seemingly fully funding Bayo 3 may have had them enforce their ideas into the game.

I mean, I'd think the reason she didn't swear in the trailer was because the trailer's rating was E-M, they can probably show off M rated games, but they don't wanna go too hard, because there's probably kids watching.
