Laundry is far quieter irl, when I met him for the first time I was like, this kid looks like Kennispam but with Michigan flavor.

I was expecting a guy who was very loud and talkative to the point where he rages, but he's nothing like that at all, lol.

Still very chill, very chill dude. Wish I went to I-Hop last time instead of losing in pools, :(

Normally something like that wouldn't make me angry. I think it's something else and will work on it in my next game.

Not to say you're wrong btw, I just don't think that's the reason I'm getting angry so easily.

Possibly? It's just that I see you comment so frequently on people going after what you feel are the wrong things, or playing the game wrong, or something of that ilk. I'll PM you, there's an example in an ongoing game I'd want to bring up.

No need, I know what you mean and I don't disagree. It just wouldn't make sense for me to get mad over it, that's what confuses me.

I don't...
Mafia is a strange beast. Thanks for making this post, but the way, I enjoy talking about this stuff.

I'm still kinda new to this but I like to think that the more games I play, the better I get at actually enjoying the game. There are times when I'm just going to throw my hands up and say 'so you have this opinion... whatever', rather than getting worked about a difference of opinion or whatever.

It bothers me when people get overly aggressive or insulting in games, though. I know some people are of the opinion that it's 'just a game' and that anything goes, but i'm someone that has a hard time making that distinction. Someone says that my post is dumb or whatever, that tends to piss me off. Players telling each other they're bad at mafia... i'm shaking my head.

So I dunno. Sometimes mafia makes me unhappy. Sometimes it bores the hell out of me. But on the whole I find it interesting, exciting, and it's hella funny sometimes. There'll be games I enjoy and those that aren't so good, but you can't really which it'll be. I hope that I get on with the players around me, and that we'll all to a greater or lesser extent be enjoying the game.

and I don't count wins and losses :p I just try and do better every game.

You can do it too.
I don't really think about my persona. But for the most part I appreciate that what people might have a problem with is 'my play' or 'my slot' and not me. I try and phrase my posts in a way that reflects that as well; i don't think I hate anyone that I've played mafia with. Sometimes I just hate how bad they are at mafia the way they play mafia sometimes.

Persona in mafia is semi-different than my IRL persona. *shrug* Depends really.
I don't know how I differ IRL than from when playing mafia. You'd probably have to meet me/chat to me and tell me. I don't pay much attention. I can tell you that the way I write (and therefore type and communicate with you guys) is gonna be very different from the way I actually talk.

I'm definitely a lot different IRL than I am in Mafia. (or anywhere on the Internet, for that matter)

Or, at least, I was. I haven't played a serious game of Mafia in such a long time that I'm not entirely sure how I'll act when I do. It's definitely going to be interesting.

man why didn't anyone tell me Candyman is a good movie

I'd written it off as another one of those bad late 20th century slashers, but it's more like Inglourious Basterds and In the Mouth of Madness smooshed together

I'm pretty sure my persona for in-game and irl is the same at this point. I'll throw my opinion in when I feel that it's needed, but otherwise I don't say anything lol. Could be very off with that, though haha.

lol

I've yelled at so, so, so so so, so many people, so so many times. I remember I yelled for ages to Roxy about what a ******* stupidhead he was in one game and we ended up bein big ol' bros not long thereafter.

I think it just kind of is a general understanding that there are no hard feelings about stuff unless otherwise specified, which is why people can take turns calling each other ******* for like six hours in a game and then chill on skype for another six later the same day like nothing happened. I actually think that is by far one of the coolest things about DGames as a community.

but yeah I feel ya, my initial retirement was brought out in the first place as a reaction to that things had become more annoyance and almost no fun, turning me into a crotchety old man on his internet porch. Stay away from my Gran Torino you goddamn gooks.

Unretiring as a hydra-only player, however, has been a good decision. Uh, so far, anyway. Ryker's semi-frequent disappearances in Mass Effect caused a few headaches but for the most part I was removed enough from the constant stresses of in-thread gameplay that everything was a lot more laid back and chill for me, and having someone to yell at on skype to get all the meanness outta your system is awesomely therapeutic, while doing so in a thread is a pretty thankless and ineffectual exercise. I think you might want to consider that as an option.
Ran and I have been through this.

Indeed, and <3 BSL. Same with Ryker (when he was the bomb and was almost making me pull the trigger xD)

Or me v Soup in Pulp Fiction. But we are all bros.

Thing is, if someone is just really irrating me, I just wish for their lynch/death. Even if it's possible they are townie. I mostly get this feeling from people in MafiaScum, who I get a initial town read on but they turn on me and go 'oh but you may be using that playstyle as scum :O' and I'm like "JUST DIE D: < " but then would be bros with them after. Once the person is dead they won't be saying anything anymore. :troll:

so all you boners that are also undergrads fans (raz, rake, etc) should freaking buy the DVD. It's dirt cheap, it shows support for the show while they're still trying to drum up a corporate interest to buy the damn rights from MTV and make more (the animation studio has always been keen to work on it, but copyright and ****), and it's one of the highest quality DVD translations I've ever seen for a short-lived cult favorite show. Also it's tiny -- same size as a regular movie, so it doesn't take up space.

MTV owns the rights? That would explain where I saw it, then. It was probably on after Daria or some **** like that.

EDIT: found the dvd for $3. Lol, not a bad way to spend a couple bucks.
