with an ominous Reboot reference, one that implies your *** is gon' get killedo r whatever. The one I decided on was "Glitch: Power Ram" as that sounds pretty deadlyAs a child I hated ReBoot and I still have no taste for it
I don't see anything to get excited about.
Teach me how to be the perfect lover.someone needs to ask me to teach them something
I want to do that again

Should borrow some of mine, IMONo snow here, and I'm in Canada.

but then I realized I would run the risk of a huge potential for Insult Backfire, given that you might respond as No Hetero and I'd be left here without any comeback at all.
I'm not sure who won this one, but I anticipated your next move anyway![]()
Too busy to eatI never have a headache from not eating. I eat if I'm hungry, always.
I mean, what is that?
Id play this sooo much lol. Sounds really fun! c:.So, I'd really like to try my hand at making some team based games, since the idea has gotten some interest at other forums I go to. They would probably end up being simple in nature (but moderately difficult to play optimally), and would play more like mafia hybrids, rather than an entirely different game. As for what I'm toying with now, if you've ever played the BSG card/forum game, it would work something like that, but as town v. town rather than everyone v. plot. I.e. two villages against each other, with the 'mafia' factions really being undercover members of the other village.
Towns could lynch their own players to remove them from the game, but this would obviously be a pretty big risk considering that they could off their own people. I don't know exactly how I would handle the conflict between the towns without combat being too stale and betrayal too obvious, but I believe I have the fundamentals. I'm thinking about running something like a blunt/slash/pierce, fire/ice/lighting, light attack/heavy attack/sneak attack, melee/mid-rage/long range, etc. system depending on the flavor I go with. Regardless, the mechanics would remain unchanged. There would be three attacking methods, and each player would have offense/defense ratings in all three, so it wouldn't be obvious that Player Y betrayed you if Player X didn't get wounded/killed/whatevered when you two attacked him. I'm not set on this, though, so if you have a suggestion, go for it.
As for communication, I really want there to be some sort of way for information to get across the two villages. Right now I'm figuring that I'd make the 'mafias' comprised of members of both teams so there'd be information flow. The villages would look something like this:
Blue Village:
Blue Townie
Blue Townie
Blue Townie
Blue Townie
Blue Townie
Blue Mafia Member
Blue Mafia Member
Red Mafia Member
Red Mafia Member
Red Village:
Red Townie
Red Townie
Red Townie
Red Townie
Red Townie
Red Mafia Member
Red Mafia Member
Blue Mafia Member
Blue Mafia Member
The only problem is that giving your town information about the other village would more or less equate to claiming to be one of your town's strongest roles. I can't think of any other way to do it, though, short of individual wincons, which is definitely something I want to keep out of the game. It's going to be strictly two faction. Either Red wins, or Blue does.
Anything I should add or change about combat? I'm definitely adding some powers to parallel standard mafia roles.
Any flavor suggestions? I know Bacon-Os and TF2 obviously fit with the theme, but what else?
How should private communication should be handled? The teams would get their own thread, and you wouldn't be able to read the other team's, for one. Free within your town? Free within your town, but you only had X number of messages/QTs you could use per phase/game? None?
How should information move between villages? Through the mafias? Through lots of investigative powers? Through some other means?
What should combat consist of? How will players fight and die? The whole game will revolve around it, so it's pretty important.
Anything else you think I should modify or work in?
I guess I just wouldn't have guessed you were a fan.Why is that odd, Naybe?
