I wouldn't be playing on a principal, I haven't even kept in contact with any of them.

Can't breathe, but the view is equal to the taste
You can like both, I just have no idea why you would repeatedly want to play something that will have the same reaction to your actions every single play-through, if your choice is limited to 10.

I never played past getting the pendants in ALttP. :(
Didn't really enjoy the game. I can't really keep my attention past the horse riding in OoT these days either.

I'm that guy.
So much about the world makes sense now.

I replay LoZ, LttP and MM almost yearly. I'd play WW as well if I had a GC right now. I replay a ton of other games, often to an audience but sometimes by myself. So I can't really say I understand your view.

(You should get your hands on a Vita and play Golden.)

In the case of the speedrun example or one of a difficult game like most SCHMUPs or something like IWBTG: it's the quest for self-improvement. It is a competition, except that the other player is yourself. Past that, re-experiencing certain games is entertaining, even if they are the same exact game every time. In the case of Majora's Mask, the draw would likely be in the movement and atmosphere. Some people like it and can enjoy it multiple times even though I can't.

Personally, that's why, when you remove the primarily multiplayer games and the games where you test yourself, my list shows Pokemon (I probably still wouldn't play it competitively), Final Fantasy Hacktics, and Chocobo's Dungeon II. Chocobo's Dungeon is probably the best roguelike I've ever played, so it's a primarily single player experience that is different every time. The other two are highly customizable. Pokemon and FFH (a Tactics ISO hack that rebalances the broken combinations in the original and ramps up the difficulty while retaining the story) can be the same game every time, but a different experience through the use of whatever restrictions or team changes you decide to implement.

Same, it's like I can't go a year without a zelda game.

I'm fair in a state full of stupidly good. I am good at PPL though.
Remind me when we meet up IRL to bring my 64 and PPL, then a real test of men will begin. I've lasted 20+ minutes on S-hard against (Champion) Gary. I have no life.

[collapse="Small rant"]
PPL is so hard to speedrun considering that you could 13x chain a computer and the likability of them dying is 1/3 of a chance considering all of the other variables, it really is just a test of stamina and luck. I remember beating (Champion) Gary in one minute just because he made a mistake, and that's really all there is to it.[/collapse]

I play the original FFT every year or so. I got Tactics advanced and played it for about an hour and half then put it down and never picked it back up again. No magic.

They both have similar avatars. It's two faces from the same image. And I am their emolga. :D

god I tried out this game

that was long ago
YOU CAN BE A DRAGON!!??!?! I WANT IT.

:hamtaro::hamtaro::hamtaro:

You play binding and morrowind?

Marry me
What's the appeal of Morrowind?

people play morrowind on xbox? What could possess people to get an elder scrolls game for a console?
I got mine on the console. I didn't think I would care for mods too much. I shouldn't've gotten it at all. I'ven't made it past the first or second dragon fight, IIRC.

Friggem fraggem.

You seem to often forget that when you're sarcastic like that almost all of the time, detecting which sarcasm isn't serious is rather difficult. :l
Sarcmarks, guys. Sarcmarks.

Just give me the benefit of the doubt when you interpret it, cause I'm very rarely a ****, and those cases are usually because you're named okuser and somebody similarly d***ish.
What do you have against Okuser? Teehee

I got used to being called TBG, and I've had no success trying to backronym it, so I've stuck with it.
TheBigGroove. If people ask why, give no explanation aside from "It's cool."

Was reminded of this, thought it might help for people in the finals rush with final papers and whatnot.
I actually had that post bookmarked. I love you, OS.

1) Ron Jenkees - Disorganized Fun
Have you caught his new album yet? My favorite of the 3 by far. More than half of them are amazingly amazing.

you know what, it's been too long since this thread was talking about shadow man

(plus this is relevant cuz music)

enjoy your nightmares DGames

I ****ING HATE SCARY THINGS.
On another note, I have no idea how people can add LoZ games to their top 10. Once I've completed one I might replay it once or twice, using a 3 heart clause and that's it. The only game I've replayed often was LoZ1 in my younger days to master a speedrun of it. .___.
LoZ games are wonderful. Nostalgia factor is a HUGE reason why OoT made it on my list. I can run that game back for eternity, and I don't even know how to speedrun it.

I never played past getting the pendants in ALttP. :(
I had about half the crystals/maidens done, and then I wiped my SD card without backing up. I forgot the save file was on there, as well as A LOT of channels. I don't even remember which they were. :c

Speedrun who can get 10 kills playing Pyro in any Team Fortress 2 public server.

Using your foot.

PYRO IS THE BEST CLASS, WHO EVEN NEEDS HANDS?

I wouldn't be playing on a principal, I haven't even kept in contact with any of them.

Anyone interested in MM should read this article.
Steven Walking has some good stuff. I like his music.
Bookmarking to read later. So long. I've already wasted too much time playing catchup in this thread. Gotta get back to studying.
Ah, I love that article. Read it several times.
I just have no idea why you would repeatedly want to read something that will have the same words for your eyes every single read-through, if your life is limited to a small number of decades.

i jungled mordekaiser and won

that is all
Did you play as Lord Mordekaiser?

If not, you've lost the REAL game.

Aesthetically amazing, well-developed world, well developed characters, world is actually shades of grey. Pretty much every questline is interesting and worth following through.

I find your taste in games questionable.

But modding generally is great at allowing you to deal with little annoyances which are present in every game. Or allowing the game to hold up much better, especially graphically.

Less now, because he no longer plays normals. He posted a tribunal case a while back when he got warned. It wasn't even even what he did, which was pretty bad. It was that he didn't believe any level of verbal abuse was justified in reporting and that normals shouldn't be reportable period. That includes his intentional feeding case.

I don't hate him obviously, I just didn't like him insisting on being such a negative influence on the community.

Sort of the same with me, though I played it through. Tactics advanced was merely alright, the characterization and the world was so just so much better in the original though.

Morrowinds world just feels way better than Oblivion/Skyrim. It's more alien than the typical forest region of Cyrodil and the tundra of Skyrim. The main quest revolves completely around you (unlike Oblivion) and gives more sense of accomplishment than Skyrim (in skyrim, you are dragonborn and acknowledged by everyone right away. in morrowind, you have to fight for your right to parrrrrrrrrty be called nerevarine).

combat is definitely a lot worse though, as it revolves around dice rolls in calculating damage/chance to hit. but making magic has almost no constraints and you can make some insane combinations. magicka doesn't regenerate though unless you have mods and stamina is more demanding in this game, but that can also be fixed with mods/xbox cheats.

at the end of the game, i feel like ive accomplished more (the entire islands attitude changes towards you and actually acknowledges you as their savior), the final boss feels more satisfying to defeat than alduin as well.

the one thing i hate the most about the game is ****ing cliff racers though

also, this is relevant

Is it better than ES IV and V?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing it. It's just that I haven't played it. At some point, I'll go back and finish what I started, and I will enjoy the hell out of it. It just never called me back.

True. I probably made a bad decision. Especially considering the game isn't multiplayer, so I wouldn't be missing out on playing with friends with either version. Oh well, what's done is done.

Oh... I do.
BTW, my question was sarcastic (I KNEW I should've included a sarcmark!)

I guess I'll have to play them to understand. Also I have to play Skyrim and Oblivion to understand... LOL
