Right at the tail end of June, Delzethin published a new Remake It! video. Taking the stage this time is one of the original 12 of Super Smash Bros. We’re talking about Jigglypuff, the Balloon Pokémon!
Jigglypuff's a strange one in Smash, the only of the Original 12 many expect to sit out if Smash 6 trims the roster. But what if Puff stuck around AND got a rework that tapped into everything the line has picked up in Gens 3-9?

The big elephant in the room with Jigglypuff is that it’s nearly gotten cut multiple times. Because of this, fans are expecting it to eventually get cut. However, Delzethin argues that their moveset can be improved, with one method being to give it moves from after Gen 2.
Delzethin’s Jigglypuff is still designed to be “bait and punish” and “hit and run”, but with some important changes. For example, Rollout would become Jigglypuff’s dash attack, and Rest now involves storing fairy energy while sleeping. If you’re interested, check out the “Rest” of the video below!
Author’s Note: I’m actually surprised Sing wasn’t changed to be Jigglypuff’s neutral special. What do you think of Delzethin’s attempt at modernizing Jigglypuff? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
