Delzethin Breaks Down Hero's Moveset

hero analysis.jpg

Since Hero's announcement as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's second Fighter Pass character at E3 2019, there's been quite a bit of discussion as to how he would even play. In preparation for the character's release, Delzethin has taken the time to break down the trailer and try to piece together Hero's moveset from what we've seen.

Hero's normals are pretty standard fare for a sword character, but it's his specials that have people intrigued - and which take up the bulk of this video. Based on his trailer, each special seems to pull up a spell menu, most likely with four possible options per special. Each spell has its own MP cost, drawing from a meter shown near Hero's character portrait and percentage indicator. What we don't know yet - and what Delzethin provides his own theories on - is how Hero's spell menus will work, and which spells will correspond to which specials.

Author's note: What do you think about what we've seen of Hero's moveset? How do you think he'll play in Smash Ultimate?

I have to ask, but why does Delthezin constantly get highlighted here on Smashboards? I like his stuff and usually watch the video before they're posted here but it seems kinda peculiar.

I guess someone among the writers just really likes his work.

we're working on making it more YouTuber's; he's basically our test trial. we used to cover Omni's video's a lot too.

that too. writing team basically depends on who has the motivation to do what.
