Dealing with Captain Falcon's DT Chain Grab

How do you deal with Captain Falcon's downthrow chain grab? Which way should you DI? Can you mash nair to get out of it?

If you DI in, you'll fly too high for him to regrab. You can nair him if he tries to regrab on that DI, but if he's good, he'll just combo you off that DI. If you DI away or down and away, you can jump airdodge before he can regrab you, but that makes you rather vulnerable so he may still get a followup.
