Taken from the second image in today's update. The two figures in the left image seem to be Link and Samus, with completely black costumes like that one Dark Link event in Melee. Seeing as how these two characters have the most popular "Dark" doppelgangers, I could see how this makes a cool event. Now, why would they use Samus if Dark Samus was already a character?

So, take it however you want, but I think Dark Samus's chances just went down.

I think so. The Damus thread seems to think it's just a shaded model of Samus. However, the Shaded Link in that picture turned out to be this:

See where Dark Link's status is? It's a picture of the Dark Link alternate art -- Samus could have the same. If it was supposed to be the dark samus from the game, Sakurai would actually show Dark Samus as the bluish being it is in the screenshot.

So in other words, we have no way of knowing until February.

You couldn't have posted this in the Dark Samus thread could you? Where it has already been pointed out.

How could she be uncomfirmed when she hasn't even been confirmed? X_X

I mean I think she'd be cool in Brawl maybe... but you can't logically can't UN-comfirm something that has not yet been confirmed...

Also, this could have been posted in the Dark Samus thread...

You do know uncomfirmed means nothing more than NOT CONFIRMED right? Dark Samus is UNCONFIRMED if she appears in ANY form in Brawl right now...

You do know that when you undo something, you make something that has been done, not done anymore?

If you want to use that NOT CONFIRMED meaning, try Disconfirmed.
You should check a dictionary before you say something

unconfirmed
1565, "not having received the rite of confirmation," from un- (1) "not" + pp. of confirm. Meaning "not supported by further evidence" is attested from 1671.

You should check a dictionary before you say something
When you un(verb) something, you make it not done any more. For example, when you unwrap something, you take something that has been wrapped, and make it not so anymore. When you unveil something, you take something that was veiled or hidden, and reveal it.

Therefore, since confirm is a verb, if you unconfirm something, you take something that was once confirmed and make it not so anymore.

My apologies if you can't use logic, and must resort to your pitiful attempts to make me look less intelligent than yourself.

And by the way, the reason why I selected the word Disconfirm as it means "To prove invalid" As in, "This screenshot could potentialy prove Dark Samus's inclusion as a separate and unique playable character invalid."

dis·con·firm /ˌdɪskənˈfɜrm/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[dis-kuhn-furm] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–verb (used with object)
to prove to be invalid.

De-confirmed means it is confirmed not to be in.
De-confirmed is not a word...DISCONFIRMED, though technically Disconfirm is a word and not disconfirmed...is closer to what your thinking of (According to the dictionary anyway)

How can Dark Samus be proven invalid when No information about her has been released yet...

Until there is any information, she is unconfirmed

DUH...

Way to ignore everything I just said.

*facepalm*

And I mean EVERYTHING. You didn't read what I had in my quotes, words such as potentially, which is what this topic was made to discuss, and completely ignored my explanation on why unconfirm is not the right word. I even used examples of other un verbs to show you.

Your blatant ignoring of everything I said makes you look very bad. Like a child who lost an argument. I'm not calling you a child, just your actions there childish.

I don't give a crap if the topic starter is right or wrong, but you obvious don't know what the word unconfirmed means.

If she was confirmed in any way, she couldn't be unconfirmed

Conversely, you do not. Unconfirmed is made of the prefix Un and the VERB Confirm.

It's made up, and logically means exactly what I said by looking at other words that are real made up of the same combination of Un-verb.

When something is no longer running on tv or something, do you say it has been Uncontinued? NO. You say it has been Discontinued.

If you can't see that, you are hopeless.
