I think it sounds pretty easy... It's super similar to most of my forums games and such- design a roster for a fighting game. This time, create the roster for a fighting game between your two favorite properties or companies.
Here's my entry... Try to make it in this form:

----------------------------------------------------------------
Franchise 1- Pokémon
Franchise 2- Marvel Comics

Game Name- Pokémon vs The Marvel Universe
Style- Depends on Mode (Pokkén or Mortal Kombat)

Roster:
From Pokémon Universe-
1. Pikachu Libre
2. Melmetal
3. Lucario
4. Wartortle
5. Machamp
6. Heracross
7. Combusken
8. Krookodile
9. Ash-Greninja
10. Alolan Marowak
11. Toxtricity
12. Mega Mewtwo X
13. Grovyle
14. Gallade
15. Rhydon
16. Delphox
17. Mega Charizard X
18. Pikachu
19. Haunter
20. Ditto

From Marvel Universe-
1. Captain America
2. Iron Man
3. Hulk
4. Wolverine
5. Black Widow
6. Black Panther
7. Thor
8. Human Torch
9. Spiderman
10. Green Goblin
11. Ultron
12. Scarlet Witch
13. Groot
14. Yondu
15. Captain Marvel
16. Deadpool
17. Gamora
18. Ghost Rider
19. Daredevil
20. Venom

DLC Packs:
1. Out of Time
-Kabutops
-Phantom Rider
-Quicksilver
-Dracovish
-Thanos

2. One off's (single character packs)
-Heihachi
-Ryu
-Sora (Kingdom Hearts)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: You can use whole franchise, magazines, comic universes, gaming universes, entire franchises, etc.

There, now you guys try! I look forward to reading your replies!

Is it cheating to include entire companies or magazines? My first thought (that makes any thematic sense, anyway - nobody's going to want to see a Kirby vs. One Piece game) is Marvel vs. Shonen Jump.

There's quite a few possible styles to choose from - a classic fighting game, like the Marvel vs. Capcom or Tatsunoko vs. Capcom games; a platform fighter, like Jump Ultimate Stars (or Smash Bros.); an arena fighter like Jump Force or the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm series...

Either way, I'll make a roster and try to limit it to 25 characters each. (which is easier said than done)

Marvel:
1. Spider-Man (Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can...)
2. Iron Man
3. Captain America
4. Hulk
5. Thor
6. Ant-Man
7. The Wasp
8. Black Panther
9. Reed Richards
10. The Thing
11. Doctor Doom
12. Wolverine
13. Storm
14. Jean Grey
15. Magneto
16. Deadpool
17. Cable
18. Captain Marvel
19. Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan
20. Loki
21. Ultron
22. The Vision
23. Thanos
24. Dr. Strange
25. Squirrel Girl

Shonen Jump:
1. Goku (Dragon Ball)
2. Vegeta (Dragon Ball)
3. Freeza (Dragon Ball)
4. Luffy (One Piece)
5. Zoro (One Piece)
6. Sanji (One Piece)
7. Naruto (Naruto)
8. Sasuke (Naruto)
9. Jotaro Kujo (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
10. Joseph Joestar (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
11. Dio Brando (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
12. Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star)
13. Raoh (Fist of the North Star)
14. Arale (Dr. Slump)
15. Deku (My Hero Academia)
16. All Might (My Hero Academia)
17. Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin)
18. Ichigo (Bleach)
19. Gintoki (Gintama)
20. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo)
21. Ryotsu Kankichi (Kochikame)
22. Yusuke (Yu Yu Hakusho)
23. Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho)
24. Gon (Hunter x Hunter)
25. Toriko (Toriko)

Admittedly, I feel like the Shonen Jump side is ridiculously unbalanced towards one side in terms of gender, but that's an issue with most shonen manga in general from what I've seen. I probably could include more villains, but with twenty-five spots, it was tough to cram everything in, especially for the Shonen Jump side.

There's probably plenty that I forgot (I couldn't include all of the Fantastic Four, any of Spider-Man's rogues gallery, most street-level Marvel heroes, etc., and I'm sure that there are a ton of Shonen Jump series that I'm either not aware of or couldn't fit in), but I was trying to limit myself. (I could probably go up to 30 or 40 characters for both sides, but I wanted to keep it SOMEWHAT reasonable)

I included Ryotsu Kankichi for historical significance (by my understanding, his series is like the Japanese version of the Simpsons), and I included Squirrel Girl to balance out the wackiness from something like Dr. Slump or Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. (plus, I think she'd be a fun character to include in one of the Marvel vs. games, even if she'd be too over-powered)

As for the plot? I don't know, Dio (or Raoh) and Doctor Doom team up to take over the multi-verse? Freeza and Thanos (or Ultron) try to destroy the multi-verse? Pretty standard crossover stuff.

EDIT: It's worth noting that I didn't include Saitama from One Punch Man because that's not in Weekly Shonen Jump - it's in a different magazine that's part of the Jump brand, but aimed at an older audience.

Yeah, you can use whole companies/magazines if you like! I'll edit the original to include that... Love the roster you made...
