Cpu Pokemon styled tourney

[The Nameless Wanderer]

Hosted by your very own Wanderer.

This is an idea I got due to boredom. Basically you choose 6 CPU characters to form a team. You then do battle with them against another player in a 3 on 3 single battle. Any level is allowed. Handicaps are going be used this tourney as when a player's character wins, the % is carried over. ( Round up from 5%'s)

Update: Since handicaps are the same for every stock, If the CPU has 2 stocks left after a battle, half of their total % will be the handicap.
Example: My GW wins against Falcon with 2 stocks and 70% which means I have to set the handicap to 35% (rounds to 40)

Rules
no timer
2 stocks for every CPU
All levels allowed
Teams must be used to even out stocks
First match must always be on Final Destination
Rest is all legal, *Yes even infinites*
Suicide kills = both are out
If it comes down to a tie somehow, Sudden Death will determine it.

Just to check, does this involve any actual playing on my part or just watching my CPUs get their butts handed to them? If it's the latter I'm probably in but does that really require me to be there at all?

I'm having issues with my Wii so doing the whole thing on someone elses via PMs would be a great option for me.

Doesn't require much of your playing skills, but rather thought on how you plan to layout your six characters as if they were Pokemon to beat the other person. Using stages to benefit your character, a crew match format for character layout, and luck after that.

There's still some other tournaments starting or at least getting enough participants to start that there is more play on a person's part if anyone wants to be part of those. : grin:

I suppose that is a possibility, but it is whether you trust that your opponent will give you reliable results. (i.e., Opponent can keep making computers fight until they win for his or herhis benefit and later sends those replays to you) It would be better that you were there to witness the result of your computer's matches, but if really trust others, I see no problem letting anyone do what you have suggested for yourself.

You make a point but right now the only games my Wii will read are Melee and SMG2 so I can't use my own.

I've been doing some testing and, while I'm nowhere near through with it, I can definitely see the appeal of Luigi now. So far he has a 83.3% win record, with his worst matchup being Luigi...
