Could this be a leaderboard possibility?

I know its sort of late, but do you think there could be leaderboards in some form at nintendowifi.com? If you look at the Metroid Prime : Hunters page there are leaderboards. When looking at the issue of people leaving matches, they could just disregard those matches. I know Sakurai said there would be no leaderboards, but that may just be no in game leaderboards. This is all speculation, and leaderboards would pretty much mean nothing to me, i'm not a very good smasher.

Do you see this as a possibility? Would you like something like this to happen? I'm looking forward to see your opinions!

You're right. The NWFC site keeps track of all the games, so there may be some TYPE of leaderboard. Nothing like Halo or Guitar Hero, but just something to show for that day or something.

I wouldn't doubt there being some form of leader boards, hopefully it will calculate wins, but in a worst case scenario, it will record the player that played the most.

On the official Nintendo Wi-Fi website that is. Although, have they found a way to synchronize your My Nintendo account with your Wii Wi-Fi connection yet? I forget the details of how I did that with my DS.

While I doubt this would happen, I just want to add that "disregarding" disconnects is a sure way to ruin some fun. DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 "disregards" disconnects on the Wii wifi and it's pretty annoying when you are seconds from victory and your opponent just disconnects on purpose. You get stupid little kids with records like 112-0 because they can't take losing in an anonymous online game.

Disconnects should = loss. It sucks when it happens by accident but that's how it should be. By definition, the remaining player should get a win.

Leaderboards are overrated. Why should I should I waste tons of my time getting my name up some list of names of High Scores? I surely don't care about some lowlives getting a highest something in somewhere.

leaderboards...meh... but a card with your record and matches played...would be hella awesome..have your card in your sig to show off how good, or bad you are...
