could anyone link me a modding tutorial for universal mechanics?

trying to make it to where i can act out of airdodge in pm and use it like an airdash but havent been able to find any tutorials for general mechanics like that. If anyone could link me a tutorial or would be willing to teach me that would be great. Either way, thanks.
