I was curious what everyone thinks about the OEM GameCube controllers compared to the other kinds including the new ones. Pro and Cons maybe? I was thinking about maybe getting a new controller (i only have 2). I like the feel of the original because its what I grew up with. Also if i were to get one where would be the best place to get good quality ones?
Thanks~

Some people feel differently, but for me it's official controller or go home.

You can buy them at used game shops (only do this if you know how to and are able to take it apart and clean it thoroughly) or buy the white ones in-box online, but supplies can be limited

How does the feel differ from a older one to a newer one? Anything major?

Newer controllers will feel really tight and nice, but the L/R buttons might take a little more effort to push than you might like, and the analogue stick and pull back a little when you push it in a direction. Older controllers can feel more loose, which tends to be good, but if it's a used controller than there can be grime/gunky feeling buttons, L/R can be a bit too loose, and you generally won't get as much tactile response from older and broken-in controllers

Hey since you got 2 controller. Are you interested in trading?
I've got a brand new white one I used for like 3 days. Was not for me because I use the control stick to jump and the y axis on the control stick is i lil tight and dont have time to break it in. The x axis on it is really good though for nice dash dances. The L/R triggers are actually pretty easy to press almost like they have been worn in already.

If you are interested I would trade both yours for the white one (still have box)

Sorry if there is a misunderstanding, I only have official GameCube controller. The other is a smaller sized Mat Catz.
