USA's Champion, Dan Burbank is the second player to sub '58 this run in the history of this 20 year old classic! First it was NRW, Germany's champion, the "Evil Grandmaster Matthias the Rusty Meyer" who achieved this sub back many moons ago in NOV 2014.

Matthias is the Site Champion of Mario Kart 64 Players' Page, and he has been for quite some time. In words taken from his signature, "MK64 non-shortcut champion since 03/03/2013." It is an excitement to witness Dan grind away after Matthias, while Matthias is exerting it's pressure. Lately, members Chraizy, and Kyle have been keeping the Players' Page's biweekly news updates very entertaining as well.
Speedrunning this game is a very focus intensive process that is both technical, and unforgiving. Currently USA's Beck Abney is the 150cc (skips) Site Champion. This is a page titled,"Becks MK64 Stuff" http://beckabney.com/mk64/ At the moment of this writing, there are only 1068 players ranked in the community. The possibilities for this community are endless; with hope, more players will rise to the challenge of defeating Germany's favorite son, "the Rusty Meyer!"
