Classic Controller doesn't work on the launch screen

This is hardly the end of the world, seeing as I can just use the WiiMote it's attached to, but I figured I'd report it nonetheless.

Specifically, I'm using the Wii U Fight Pad, those controllers that look like GameCube controllers but are technically Classics.

I'm pretty sure you HAVE to use the Wii-remote's D-pad to move around on the launch screen even though it's attached to the Wii U Fight Pad.

Pretty sure Wiimote takes precedence no matter that attachment to the wiimote (nunchuck or otherwise)

Also GC controllers work on the launch screen.
