Hmm, I'm trying to figure what triggered it lately, but yeah. I think just my poor effort in the last tournament really got me down. Really can just lose my momentum too easily in matches, I seem to only do decent in doubles. (getting 2nd to 3rd usually) Just playing in singles, I just cant take the pressure I guess and then it leaves me unhappy =<.

Also at the last meet, I sorta boredom quit on some players during teams because after a while, they just started spamming double mk. I could beat it if i wanted to, but it takes too much effort for me to care in friendlies. Instead, I just got a group of us to go play mario party 2 xD. It was probably the highlight of the night lulul.

Anyway, I'll probably get over it and move on eventually. I just wish my best could be better than it is. Thanks for everyone suggestions though =).

I might make some silly picture again since I cant get my other game to work ><

Also Lucario is awesome in competitive pokemon, dont know why you'd be complaining about him. And I hate charizard with a passion due to its overhype. IT really isnt that amazing imo :/.

But yeah, I need to stop sounding like a downer and to go make some happy and fun pictures :3

Also sorry if my post might not make any sense. I'm really tired atm... I only got 3 hours of sleep last night ~_~

At the last tournament I was at, I learned that I can concentrate better under pressure when I'm listening to music, and I did really well. I realized I wasn't able to concentrate when I wanted to, because of the stuff going on around me during my match, so the music helped get rid of outside distractions.

Point is, maybe try something like that when you're playing? Try out new stuff in friendlies, and see if anything helps you concentrate better. Pressure is gonna happen, but if you can concentrate while under pressure, it helps a lot, imo.

ah, yeah, i understand the feeling of getting beat hard at a recent tournament. i reckon that if youre struggling a lot in singles but not quite the case in doubles means that you play with a style that is far too linear (a.k.a, donig the same things over and over) whic his what i was (and still am) struggling with, try doing strange stuff which no-one ever expects to see from rob, not many people know how to do his funny little up-b tricks and how they make him move, get them down and people will be like 'wtf' also use moves you wouldnt normally use on occasion, jsut to keep people guessing

Yeah, I dont think I've tried playing while listening to music. I could give it a go at somepoint. xD

It sucked during the last tournament considering i had a basketball land on the tv while i was playing a match >_>. I think the main problem I have is getting too greedy on the last stock. And usually its always that reason. I'll usually play as safe as i can in tournament, but then when it gets close to the end, I just lose control completely, as in throw out ****loads of kill moves which end up getting me punished.

Maybe I just need someone next to me chanting to me to stay clam and to not go crazy =P. But thanks for the ideas Zwarm =)

Heres something i made while i was thinking for another idea, I mean i have some ideas to make but people probably wont get why its funny =S

Yeah, I try to learn a couple of tricks. My main problem is forgetting to actually implement them into my game. >_< lol

So it comes down to tournament, then I never make use of the new things I learned D:. Although I did pull off some stuff at the tournament last time that i was never able to do before hand XD. but it was on the easier people haha

Nice pic haha. Is American culture that prevalent throughout the world?

I'm just the opposite. Even in tourney, I tend to play pretty carefree for the first 3 stocks, but when I get to my last stock I always turtle up and start playing really tight and careful. I wish I could play like that every stock. I'd wreck ****.

by 'american culture' did you mean the basketball incident? because im pretty sure that the 'i want you' poster was originally a british world war 1 poster

I need to play more. I haven't really played in a couple of weeks. :(
Living 2-3 hours away from my scene sucks :/

Lately I noticed that I have been getting a little more patient. Just not approaching as much. Also doing better reading people and improving on my clutch game.

Lol Zwarm, the music stuff is such an IL '08 thing. In fact I remember Tano listening to headphones in a dude's garage tournament.

But don't do it anymore otherwise you won't hear my cheerleading. Also I like to talk to you during our MMs/tournament sets! :(

this attitude shows how lazy the community is turning into, back then, people would drive to different arcades to get better, or prove their worth amongst others.

but then again. gas prices are getting ridiculous.

Yeah, but I never tried it out, because I never had sound cancelling headphones. Now that I do, I'm gonna listen to music during tournament sets.

I probably won't during MM's unless they're for more than a couple bucks, so we can still talk during our MM's.

I wouldnt say I'm lazy, I just dont understand how to get better myself. So thats why I'm asking for help lol.

And tournaments aren't very frequent here. We're lucky to even have one a month. It also doesn't help that Australia smash is slowly dying off.

I've heard some reasons as to why it could have happened, but I'm not stating them here because they're just dumb reasons.

Cookery thread is so dead.

I was sad too because I was going to make a ROB breakfast but my 5 year old digital camera finally died on me. :(

Yeah listening to music really helps you during matches. The music helps you to eliminate outside distractions and just focus on the game.

This is the wireless internet I'm on at my school now:

Get ***** UMiami

And that's our wireless, on my netbook. My netbook is likely bogging it down also, and when I'm on our wired it's much faster, generally in the 20-30 range for each
