Actually, would Wii Updates still cause problems for the game or will the game have updates to be compatible with the Wii's updates? I know the Wii Updates tend to prevent and even delete mods and hacks and all of that other good stuff, because Nintendo's anal like that.

they license a certain chip, that authorizes games to play. if you dont have, NES wont run it
