Characters who I think won't be playable in brawl. (All opinion based)

I think jiggs, luigi, c. Falcon, ganon(de-cloned), falco(de-cloned), sheik, mewtwo, game and watch, and marth are all coming back and they will remove all clones (pichu, dr. mario, maybe roy) Ness i dont know and i don't care lucas is good enough for me, if ness is in fine if not oh well.
I also think dixie is in as she is popular, cute, a girl, and will finish the Dk trio, it will take alot more than a trophie in a promotional video to make me think otherwise (If you played Dkc2 or dkc3 you will know the awsome of dixie)
K.rool I think is in too as he is the villian of dk, and ssb needs more villians. I also think DK can pull 4 reps, it was the best game in snes, and still has ok games now.
Olimar is in as he is one of the newest nintendo heroes, and he will be really interest to play as. Ridley is in too, Metriod has only one rep, it needs more and ridley is a perfect candidate.
As for any third party charecter I don't know the list is to big to consider anyone, though I think megaman is in.
In the end none of this matters, sakurai does whatever he whants, it doesnt matter if you can't think of move list for someone, because sakurai, can do it and has, (c.Falcon), and as for size if they are popular enough then sakurai will find a way to put them in, either resizing them or giving them moves, hay Bowser size has always differed to a huge behemoth to the size of mario. The only way we know they are 100% not in is if they are an AT. Anyone else is potential.

Yeah...but would Sakurai reveal a character like that before saying anything on the Dojo? I'm just sayin'...I don't have anything against Dixie...I'm just sayin' that the odds don't look like they're in her favor...you can't deny that...

Exactly...the odds aren't in her favor, but there could be a chance, I reckon...like I said, I have nothing against her...I think she'd be great on the roster...I'm just not sure if Sakurai would do that...but considering how unpredictable he is, it wouldn't surprise me if she was in...

I've seen terrible logic in this topic. And I mean terrible.
I don't care about opinions on who you don't think will return. You can say C.Falcon won't return for all I care, but your logic better be good. I saw some fool who, by completely BASELESS assumptions claimed that no more veterans would show up.
And guys, Ridley is not one of the big Metroid bosses. Play a Metroid game that does NOT have prime in its title, plz. Fusion is the only non Prime game with a really big Ridley, and it wasn't even the real one. Ridley's one of the smaller Metroid bosses, the only consistent size fact is that he's bigger than Samus.
And yes children, Sakurai DOES mindgame us. Do NOT exaggerate wording from anything Sakurai, or anyone, says.

...and if you're so pissed off about it, why are you still here?I always find it funny to see people say how great they are and their logic triumphs all and give themselves a big pat on the back, and yet after they're done, still nothing changes. Nothing is proved. No new characters are confirmed do to your "awesome, infallible and incredible logic/debating skills" and we STILL don't know who's going to be in other than those already confirmed. Come release time we'll know everything and we'll be too busy playing the game and enjoying ourselves to really care about all of these dumb arguments anymore. And despite what anyone says, we all know that you're still going to play and love this game even if your favorites don't make it in.

Most fanbases over exaggerate their character's chances.
Just look at Ashley's fanbase, or Lucario's fanbase (he may have a chance, but really he isn't a shoe-in like most think.), Micaiah's fanbase... I could go on.
I even think Ridley's chances are a little exaggerated. I wouldn't bet a penny that he won't be playable, but there's always a way that Sakurai would find some reason to not make him playable, but even those reasons (like he could be a boss) don't really make sense, because he could be a boss AND a playable character like Bowser I'm assuming. What a stretch, right?

...and watching these heated debates is fun...and slapping down other people's arguments is too ...@Vesper: maybe to an extent, but he was among the highest ranking characters on the poll, so there's a reason for it...I'm a Geno supporter, but if he's not in, I'm content with who we have, so you won't hear any complaints from me

Melee was released in 2001. During that time, Wolf was a minor character. While in the past two Star Fox games, Wolf's role as the series' recurring rival/nemesis significantly increased. Another thing you have to look at is that anytime a franchise gets at least three reps ( In both Melee and Brawl), at least one of them is a villain.

WL says something that is very true indeed! You don't even need 3 for villlians. Just look at kirby, he's been by himself all this time and now metaknight shows up (even though he's not an evil villian) Just look (the ones in [] are maybes)
Mario, Peach, Yoshi, [Luigi] > Bowser, Wario (in a way), [Baby bowser (I can imagine one0]
Link, Zelda [Sheik NOOOO!!] > [Ganondorf (should come back with new moveset)]
Kirby > Dedede, Metaknight (in a way)
Really, I'm hoping for every franchise in here to at least include the villian of the game...I can imagine a [smaller] Ridley. I mean who cares if he's got wings...3 other characters have wings in brawl. I can also imagine that bad guy from DKC (forgot name). Fow could have Wolf. Ice Climbers can go ahead and write to santa to get a new game with a villian....lol. I don't think/hope they include a Dr. Eggman. Don't really now bout Snake. Ike can have his villain. Pokemon trainer can have the female pokemon trainer lol...whatever...my hopes are getting way too high....
