Ridley can be resized as was done to Charizard, Bowser, Ganandorf, etc..
Olimar is just aa much of a fighter as Fox and Falco, if not more.

It's a good thing you're not actually betting that money.$100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
So?It isn't just the size, it's the proportion. Bowser can fit because of his meaty-ness doesn't mess with a resize. Ridley on the other hand looks like a tiny Pterodactyl because he is thin and large.
1. Japan hates Prime so Ridley wouldn't be super-gigantic anyway. No, it doesn't, and no I don't accept it. That Ridley is much smaller than the badarse I remember from Metroid Prime. He looks like a tiny lizard compared to any one of his actual Metroid appearances. That is the thing that bugs me. I don't say he shouldn't be in because I hate him. On the contrary, I like him so much as an AT in Brawl because I want his true character to be represented.
That is the freaking point! You can change attributes but it will not be representative of the actual character. The fact that you don't bring up a decent reason why you can change the attributes without altering proportions is a terrible argument, not mine. It's like what I said about Mario being blue and only blue for the entire game. You can change the attributes but it isn't representative of the character.ridley can definetly be in you can change attributs during a resize thats a terrible argument
But he'll never find it - there is no logical reasoning against Captain Olimar.Stop feeding the little illogical troll until he gives us a logical reason why Olimar shouldn't be in Brawl...
Whats the reasoning for this? If youve looked at the K. Rool thread, you would have seen that we've put together almost everything possible for him to have and do. (i.e. SSE story, various movesets, and costumes)k.rool needs to be on there
Too big? LOLOlimar won't be in Brawl, he's too big.
He's just playing off me. Don't worry about it.Too big? LOL
Didst thou playeth the Pikmin?
It's like what I said about Mario being blue and only blue for the entire game. You can change the attributes but it isn't representative of the character.
Kirby says hiiiiiiiii...While I'm at it with sizes, Olimar is about the size of a quarter. Being true to the game, having him in Brawl would be damaging to his true character unless he was microscopic.
Fixed...agree with Tingle, though...neutral about Ashley...Yeah. One of the main reasons im excited for brawl is to see some of these character theories, which, people go so far for, crash and burn.
Thesegeno/ashley/ridley/tingle threads going down. That would be something worth laughing at.
Well regardless of what your opinion or my opinion or Cyrlous's opinion is, here are the facts: Ridley will be in the game. Why? He is THE most requested first-party character that hasn't been confirmed already. He's also the best choice for another Metroid representative, which Sakurai hinted heavily towards including. Even without his word, Metroid certainly deserves a new rep after all this time. So maybe you don't like Ridley, which is ok by me, but if you truly believe that he won't be playable then you're only kidding yourself, so don't hold your breath on it.I think #1 on my list would be Ridley. But before the flaming, hear me out.
Would he really not work as a playable character? Sure he is a fan favorite, the recognizable villain of the Metroid series, and a sought after character for Brawl, but have you ever looked at him in the Metroid games? He is just too freaking huge. Look at the size of the Battlefield stage for Brawl, then stick a huge arse Ridley in there. He would cover the entire stage, pretty much a GigaBowser the entire match. Fun for everyone, right?
Sure, you could argue that they shrunk Bowser and Charizard to fit, but Bowser's size has changed over the course of the Mario games, and both Charizard's and Bowser's genuine meaty-ness allows such a shrinking without proportion problems. Ridley's figure, however, is actually quite slender given his size. Teaching him the TM Minimize would only make him look like a tiny, angry velocilraptor with wings, which is completely far fetched from his actual character.
In the Metroid games, he is monstrously huge and can pick Samus up in ONE HAND and claw her to shreds, or crush her with a giant tail, or turn her into a BBQ chicken sandwitch his incinerating breath. If you shrink him, sure you have a playable fast Pterodactyl like creature in Brawl, but it would not represent what makes him Ridley in the first place. His size.
With the size issue he would be better suited for an assist trophy, an awesome assist trophy if I may add. I will, however, eat my words if Sakurai manages to implement him as a playable character in Brawl.
*holds up flame shield*
So would Ganandorf and Bowser, but people would cry and moan if they weren't playable.Ridley would be better suited as a boss.
Dark Samus has been in three games. Well, barely three. Two plus a secret ending. Sure she could be in, and I'd like that a lot. But there's no way she's getting in if Ridley isn't. He's been in all BUT three. It simply will not happen.Actually, I'm way more into the idea of Dark Samus than Ridley as a playable character, and I find DS to be much more likely than Ridley for reasons previously stated.
I understand all of that. I love Ridley, I just don't want to see his character ruined in a game I love. I know he is in one way or another, but I hope its just a Boss or AT. Dark Samus would make the better character though IMO, since the crap you can pull out of Phazon would give her/it a pretty awesome moveset.Well regardless of what your opinion or my opinion or Cyrlous's opinion is, here are the facts: Ridley will be in the game. Again, you could bring up the size argument, but we won't get anywhere. Now will we? I think it is best if we just wait this one out.So would Ganandorf and Bowser, but people would cry and moan if they weren't playable.
Logic > Half-***** arguments.
Actually, my IQ is 170. And no, I'm not joking. I'm thinking Ganondorf is replacing Falcon and Lucas is replacing Ness. Therefore, Jiggly and Luigi is gone too.So what, you're suggesting Ganondorf will be cut too? Because if you are, then you're an idiot and your opinion needn't be shared with anyone else.
But even then, you wouldn't be as bad as BalloonBoy. Either he's joking or his IQ is smaller than his post count.
I find your reasons stupidActually, I'm way more into the idea of Dark Samus than Ridley as a playable character, and I find DS to be much more likely than Ridley for reasons previously stated.
LOL at you thinking Dark Samus is more likely than Ridley, if Ridley isn't second Metroid rep, don't expect one.Actually, I'm way more into the idea of Dark Samus than Ridley as a playable character, and I find DS to be much more likely than Ridley for reasons previously stated.
Hahahahaha! Not even with a negative IQ could you think that, you're clearly ********.I'm thinking Ganondorf is replacing Falcon
XD Had to do itActually, my IQ is 170. And no, I'm not joking. I'm thinking Ganondorf is replacing Falcon and Lucas is replacing Ness. Therefore, Jiggly and Luigi is gone too.
Don't like it? Suck it up.
Your a friggin' hilarious trollActually, my IQ is 170. And no, I'm not joking. I'm thinking Ganondorf is replacing Falcon and Lucas is replacing Ness. Therefore, Jiggly and Luigi is gone too.

Know that a game has nothing to do with the IQ level....*falls over laughing*
The only thing that made sense was the Lucas/Ness thing. How do you figure that Ganondorf is replacing Captain Falcon? And what in the world does that have to do with Luigi and Jigglypuff? And no, your IQ is not nearly 170.
Then why did you bring it up?Know that a game has nothing to do with the IQ level....
Cause he questioned itThen why did you bring it up?
Yeah, why...and why are you avoiding the real question? Then why did you bring it up?
Nothing any of us says here, no matter how logical/illogical is going to have any bearing on who is-isn't in Brawl.
My answer is right above....Yeah, why...and why are you avoiding the real question?
vMy answer is right above....
That question...*falls over laughing*

Right. -_-v
That question...
Yes it does because it is demonstrating your ability to form logic, which does have to do with IQ. You are doing poorly in that regard, so therefore your IQ can't be higher than 100.Know that a game has nothing to do with the IQ level....
What statements?Actually, I'm way more into the idea of Dark Samus than Ridley as a playable character, and I find DS to be much more likely than Ridley for reasons previously stated.
Oh, I'm asking...SOURCE?!?! Oh, and Zelda says hi...Right. -_-
Okay, well, sources have led me to believe Shiek is out(Do. Not. Ask.), but Ganondorf is staying put since they need more Legend Of Zelda characters and just Link isn't enough.
Still not clear on WHY you think it's gonna happen...why would they get rid of Falcon to keep Ganondorf with a moveset that was only given to him because the game was rushed? So I'm thinking Ganon is replacing Falcon (I haven't heard about the new moveset part -.-)
So, elimination based on association? How is that fair? You could argue that the two hidden from SSB that became starters in Melee go, while the two that STAYED hidden stay...either way, Ness is the only one in remote danger...And since Falcon and Ness is out (your IQ is 170?) , two of the unlockable chars in SSB, Jigglypuff and Luigi is also most likely out, since they are the other two of the unlockable chars.
Lol, thanks for making me laugh so hard today. And since Falcon and Ness is out, two of the unlockable chars in SSB, Jigglypuff and Luigi is also most likely out, since they are the other two of the unlockable chars.
