Wow this thread fails. Theres no logic to this guys list, its just his biased opinion. (I know it says so in the title but still.)

Y'know...I'm starting to question the purpose of this thread...we all know that every character, no matter how ********, has supporters somewhere...some 12 year old is probably gonna come in here, see the "anime characters" here, and flip out cuz they think Naruto has a chance (which he doesn't)...no matter who you put on this list, someone out there will get pissed...this list has served no purpose other than to offend people for their opinions...

Your Sora Logic is as bad is the "Marth wont be in because Ike has Blue hair and a sword" and if both of those were true, we wouldent be getting Luigi, we already have a plumber in overalls and a hat. with a mustache.

The guy who started this thread made some pretty safe choices, nothing that the majority would disagree with. I don't see why everybody hates Tingle though, he's poular everywhere else in the world. Nintendo is aware that he's "gay" for lack of a better word, because he was implemented that way as comic relief. He has twice the chance of Midna, who i'm sorry, is not that interesting. We need more freaks in Brawl, at least as punching bags, and I think that if we're getting a new Zelda character, Tingle is just the most logical choice.

I was just going by your logic there buddy. I know darn well they didn't start out as game characters. But if a character is too freaking big, they are too freaking big. My argument here is that it would ruin Ridley's character, which is why he is awesome in the first place. Just like if you were to have have a Godzilla fight and someone wanted to include a giant Pikachu for the heck of it, it just wouldn't fit at all.

Don't use the too big argument, please.
1. They're trophies.
2. Ridley isn't much bigger than Bowser. In fact, both Ridley and Bowser are like three times Mario and Samus in the 2-D games; but much bigger in the 3-D games. True, Bowser has been reduced in the spin-offs. But... Ridley has been only in 1 spin-off... Melee... and... he's as big as Bowser in the intro (maybe even smaller). So, if Ridley is too big; Bowser too.
The Ridley of the Melee intro fits perfectly in Brawl. You should accept this.
Oh, and Ridley is awesome not for being a huge dragon. Ridley is awesome for being a plasma-breathing space pirate dragon.
Captain Falcon, Mr. Game & Watch, Peach, Dr. Mario and Sheik are extremely powerful fighters.
Peach was in super mario RPG. As for the seemingly non-lethal pokemon... Well, they are still pokemon.
Besides. Captain falcon is jacked, I bet he could kick marios *** off-screen of SSB. XD

No, I don't care about sales. Nor do I care about the fact that he sounds like a girl. There are better 3rd party choices out there that would most certainly be put in before some long haired disney character (Yes I know he's sony.)

And by your logic, Olimar would fit...he can fight...how do you think you get through both Pikmin games? By using Pikmin to fight, as well as fending for yourself...Olimar gains an amazing punching ability in Pikmin 2...jus' so ya know...

i think that falco and Krystal will both have pretty good chances of making it but i dont disagree with anything else on this.

Yeah, but they represent the very series they are coming form. If Mario was blue for the single player part of the game, would you be saying the same thing?
It isn't just the size, it's the proportion. Bowser can fit because of his meaty-ness doesn't mess with a resize. Ridley on the other hand looks like a tiny Pterodactyl because he is thin and large.
No, it doesn't, and no I don't accept it. That Ridley is much smaller than the badarse I remember from Metroid Prime. He looks like a tiny lizard compared to any one of his actual Metroid appearances. That is the thing that bugs me. I don't say he shouldn't be in because I hate him. On the contrary, I like him so much as an AT in Brawl because I want his true character to be represented.
I said that on the previous page, but it is all three qualities that make up Ridley. I honestly wouldn't have cared as much as I do about him if he was tiny in the Metroid Universe.

Maybe Captain Falcon uses the Falcon Punch in Black Shadow in the anime (although I'm not sure if the anime was created after or before Smash Bros.), but he's not a fighter. He's a pilot.
Peach fightS in Super Mario Bros. 2 as much as Olimar fights in Pikmin. Ok, she fights in Super Mario RPG, that's true. But she's still the damsel in distress, not a fighter.
And of course I played Ocarina of Time, but I don't remember seeing Sheik fighting in any moment.
The Ice Climbers, Fox, Falco or Mr. Game & Watch aren't fighters. They're popular/retro characters.

Does it matter? Olimar is, so why does it matter if Fox and Falco are too? Olimar is just as much a fighter as Fox and Falco...maybe even more of a fighter...

The point is, is that Sakurai created a moveset from scratch for Fox. Why can't he do the same thing for Captain Olimar?

When the first Super Smash Bros. game was created, Fox was only an Arwing pilot.
By Super Smash Bros. Melee, both Fox and Falco weren't fighters. Just pilots.
