Character Downloads

Has anyone ever thought that characters could actually be downloaded off a channel on the wii and put onto smash bros.? It would really give nintendo a lot more time to make more characters over time plus you can pick the ones you like most. Another thing is Nintendo might do something similar to Ratchet and Clank where if you have a saved file of a previous game (Melee) you can get those characters from that game. Just a thought....

Yep, tons of people have had the thought. It's still a great idea though, i'd love to see nintendo implement it.

I just think that they could possibly have a smash bros channel which offered new stages, characters, modes, games, movies, etc. you know.

I doubt Sakurai would do something like that. Only people with an online connection would be able to get those new characters, and I have heard people say that this idea would be a heck of a lot more complicated on a Wii than people think...

^ Halo 2 had a expansion pack come out, and so have LOADS of other games. If Sakurai wants Brawl to be the last smash, he could keep expanding it, indefinitely! >_<

It sounds better than a character maker mode. I dont think they would really consider it though.

This would only work if the person had internet connection, wii points, and SDcard... because I don't think the wii would be able to save that big a file without taking up all of the memory.
